If you want a quick resume. It is good but not for its current price. I would've gotten it at 50% at least.

In more details.
The pro:
The game doesn't seems to have any bugs yet.
The content is really pretty.
The size of the map is really big and gives us a feel that we've got plenty to discover.
They've put a lot of efforts in the story line (at least until where I am).
There's plenty of different types of guns and modifications that can be done.
The whole universe is really creepy and gave me a lot of jump scares until now!

The cons:
The aiming is AWEFULL, I had to find online a way to manually deactivate the mouse smoothing by adding some lines to a file. I work in tech so I'm fine with it, but other people will definitely struggle with that!
The game doesn't feel that quite polished in terms of game mechanics like, when you reload, once the mag is changed but you start sprinting without the animation ending, it doesn't count as recharged and you have to redo the whole animation to reload your gun.
The difficulties are mostly about increasing stats or decreasing them. Not about "new behaviours" or "more enemies" (which I personally find lazy).
There are also a lot weird sounds in the game that almost makes me feel like I'm paranoid, might be intentionnal, but I don't think its a good thing to make sounds that sounds like there's a creature nearby but there actually isn't one?
The vortex are quite hard to see and even when you deactivate them with the nut, they respawn so quickly that you still get massively damaged
The balancing of the game is quite not there to be honest, Guns that are quite broken (like 30% durability left) can't be sold and also will cost A LOT to repair but then will also be sold to extremely cheap so you end up just dumping them everywhere when in a post apocalyptic world like this, even if they are close to broken, they should still be usefull to people and be worth something.
When you kill any kind of creatures, there isn't any rewards to it. SO they feel quite useless, instead of going for a fight with them, usually I'll just dodge or run from them. It feeels so unrewarding to spend bullets and durability to kill something that is sometimes really hard to kill, for then simply not receiving any reward from doing so. If at least there would be some kind of rep gain, exp gain or even skinning them to sell materials but its not the case and makes it feel real bad...

The quests are also quite confusing when they are completed? Its not obvious when you gain reward or not. Even when you actually gain something its usually nothing and not rewarding. You usually cant even buy the ammo spent to complete the mission with the given reward..
With that, I feel like there isn't much rewards given through the game and a lot more mechanics that will be available later on. It doesn't makes you looks forward to go further in the game.
"DO quests and hope to maybe get some good money" So its really not rewardfull and doesn't feel good to play the game currently... I'm not talking about giving us a lot of money on starter quests, but at least something to buy new ammo or health and a way to actually unlock new available guns that would be sold or stuff like that.

SO for these reasons, I wouldn't recommend the game at its full price and think that it should need more love from the devs..!

Came back to this game after 3 or 4 years of no playing it expecting to see a lot of improvement and more content... How surprised to see that the game as actually less content and they've change the leveling mechanics to be even worst then what it used to be... Kind of sad to see the game in this state! For a full release, I was expecting something a lot better then a worst game :(

Why tf do I need to be loggedin to go change the settings... Also the graphics are in ultra but the game still looks cartoonish? Its weird to have a rewind feature, shouldn't the whole point is to keep going as we make mistakes?

Yeah so, the game needs a lot more polishing. I'm surprised that it was released into this state. Sure it is working, but it feels like the kind of project you could make solo. Tbh its worth at least half of its current price. It has a LOT of potential for the quick game I've done, but I feel like most of the missing polish for the design makes it too annoying for me to keep playing..

I'm not talking about having the AAA quality, but I think one of the basic things where you can clearly see that the enemies walking animations don't even match their speed or that the enemies rotation clips left and right are pretty easy fixed issues especially with the current engines these days..

I feel like it would also need some UI improvements for its quality.

Also one thing that I reaaaally didn't enjoy was the sound fx, it felt like a casino game? All the "bling bling" like I'm playing a coin machine was really annoying..

I'm not sure if I should recommend or not this game, but if it would've been maybe like between 2-5$, then I would've been enclined for a recommend. So for now I'll leave it as a nop!

EDIT: Turns out they've still removed the game in the countries that dont have PSN so yeah they sort of still screwed over the other players. Turns out that Sony is quite sneaky

This game should be the one that anybody who wishes to try the fallout franchise starts with!

I've replayed this game after many years and of cours, after watching the fallout tv show and DAMN this game is better than the 4th and 76!

It really has that gloomy post apocalyptic ambience and serious tone where the npcs sort of actually act how a normal human would in that world. It does cracks some jokes here and there to lighten the mood but that the 4th and 76 have lost that makes it so damn good. It is not a joyfull playthrough in an apocalyptic world like those 2 and it really a head of its time compared to them.

Sure it doesn't have the base building ability, but choices in this game do actually matter and impacts the world around you as you play!
Its really refreshing having a game where your hand isn't constantly being held by the devs and trully allow you do be good or evil!

Sure its old, but for a Bethesda game, its probably the best clashing with Skyrim! The only thing this game doesn't really have is the 4k graphics of today's games, but other then that, the gameplay is actually pristine!
I absolutely love the fact that the perks are a little vague and trully have multiple uses through the entire game. All of your stats are actually impactfull in this game so they all allow you to have different playthrough with different results!

Give this game a chance, its totally in my top 5 games of all time!

Only cons I've seen is that the game still needs a lot of balancing! It would be nice if they'd let the player become a lot more overpower!

But other then that, the game quality is excellent! Aboslutely love the gameplay! I'll probably endup putting more hours into it! :D

Its pretty funny that Jerry does the narration of this game!

It is a good game, but not a 45.49$ game.
At the time of this review, I've completed 100% of all the base game. (I haven't done the Truth Quest).

The length of this game makes it very enjoyable to not get bored before completing it.

It has its annoyances, but honestly for a first in that kind of gameplay, it is really a good stepping stone to start a new genre.

I would definitely love to see a sequel with more evolution variations, better AIs, less repetitive fishes and maybe a frenzy mode where you can get as big as you can survive haha.

In term of difficutly, it was a bit harder at the start where almos every enemies are a potential danger, but until you reach the end game, everything else will be extremely easy if you do all the side objectives.

The movements can be quite frustrating sometimes and feel slow, but you'll still be able to destroy everything in your way.
The story line is quite funny and a classic, so you should just play it casually a few hours here and there.

If I'd rate this game, I'd say its a 7/10 if it would be 20$.
But for a 45$ game, I'd say its a 4/10.
So get it only on sale. Otherwise, its not worth it!
