Judging by how many negative reviews I've read about people being angry at the difficulty of some of the upper tier achievements, I'm going to preface this by saying if you go into playing Bejeweled 3 with the intent to play for fun and maybe hunt the achievements if you're bored, you'll probably have a blast. If you're a hardcore completionist for achievements I have no doubt you'll get a lot of frustration.

I had very little experience with this series other than playing the original for a little bit I think back on Xbox. I've always been a fan of Match 3 games and Tetris so I figured I'd give another puzzle game a shot. I'm really glad I did! Beside the classic mode there's several other interesting gameplay variants that could keep you entertained for hours and hours, match poker, rescue the butterflies, shatter ice columns, etc. The game is pretty close to the definition of "simple to grasp but difficult to master", and definitely has an addictive quality, watching gems explode as you set up various combo matches of 4 and 5 gems. Get it on sale for a dollar and I fail to see how you could be disappointed, if you enjoy other puzzle games in the vein of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords and Gems of War you'll probably end up having a blast with this since there is no other tedious elements keeping you from getting to the meat of the game solving puzzles!

I will point out that on my Windows 11 laptop I had some issues getting the game to work in fullscreen, my solution? I'm just playing it in a window, I wish they could make it work correctly out of the box, as far as I can tell there are solutions to fix the resolution issue, and it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game.
