A wonderful hidden gem of a game!

A blend of puzzle/RPG, but without the tedious grinding that other RPGs out there would have you do to progress the game. The combat system is turn based, only attacking the enemy in front (with the exception of multi-target attacks), with some strategy thrown in. You don't buy the bulk of your weapons or spells and instead you collect more skill attacks and spells through the art of studying and stealing from the enemies you come across.

The puzzles are challenging and while there were a smidgen of times I had to step away for a minute, then come back with fresh eyes, it never felt like it bogged down the gameplay for me. I especially enjoyed the use of early game puzzle elements that you end up coming across in later levels mixed in with new elements.

The world, it's citizens, and the story are all so intriguing that it kept me invested and wanting to learn more as I progressed. The NPCs have unique dialogue depending on what character talks to them. There is even a side quest where you collect photographs of flowers that made backtracking through areas a fun scavenger hunt.

Overall, I really enjoyed playing this game and was so pleased with it that I had to leave a review.
