So, why no recommendation? Let's try to keep it simple, ofc. this is all my opinion, your impression may be different, and that is totally understandable.

Let's start with the
Pros:
- As always great comic artstyle
- great use of abilities for moving past obstacles
- authentic Darksiders atmosphere, enemy and character design!
- Story is entertaining!

- Challenging as Darksiders 2...

Cons:
... but way too frustraiting because:
- the map is missing, a lot of shortcuts randomly clipped together
- soulslike (i know, it's the soulsword) battlesystem totally unnecessary,
--> Darksiders Battlesystem was already challenging enough
--> punishment to get your cash back, so you can not prepare yourself with shop items as you HAVE to get your souls back where you died (if you die several times, they luckily stay were you died the first time)
--> checkpoints system is "improvable"...

- weapon moves feel very samy
- pc freeze before i can finished at the very last scene after the final bossfight (under windows 7, i am open to retry it with windows 10)

I am a fan of the franchise, i enjoyed it, but this is "only" a 6 out of 10 for me and a dissapointment when it comes to battleing system.
