If you are playing this mod it means you've already played the vanilla version for a while, at least that is how it went on me.
This version of Company of Heroes is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me in what comes to videogames, no joke, let me share with you my opinion, or scroll away if you are not up to it!

This version achieves those little spaces that Company of Heroes had here and there, e.g. infantry being able to hold on a full hail of bullets from the very well known MG42 is no longer as easy. Now you actually seek for cover for you infantry, you can no longer send a bunch of good men to die so that the rest of your infantry and some armor reach the back of your enemy straight forward! No, no... This means, of course, tanks are no longer up to resist a dozen of anti-tank hits before becoming a smoldering piece of scrap. Direct hit, now it's a thing!
You can now also dig in for real defence, no matter your army, you can hold on for a good time against a tough crowd.
Artillery now costs munitions even if it is from units such as the Calliope, Nebelwerfer or a Priest. Also there's an option to counter-attack on artillery attacks sent by non-offmap units.
The Commander branches are now huge and full of juicy options, improving old options and adding beautiful new content (for which the creators of the mod should be very proud).
New maps, game modes and campaigns (really, it's for free, and it is well done, if you complain about it you should really go ♥♥♥♥ yourself think about it twice).
Details, units, models; all historically and beautifully accurate. Depending on what kind of map (and thus, time) you're playing, there are different units available.

There goes a decent brief of the differences between vanilla version and Europe at War, if you loved Company of Heroes, you will feel your heart melting at this thing, I summed up a bit of what I think it deserves a mention but there's a whole world there for you to see inside, so go ahead, what are you waiting for? You already spent enough time reading this, didn't you?


But before you go and enjoy, I will admit there are some flaws:
- Crashes from time to time for no real reason (not very often).
- Loading screen might take longer than usual.
- Some units are modeled like a layer, over old one, so recovering vehicles might end up in you recovering a StuG III from an Opel Blitz (hilarious, don't you think?).
- Some units are a little bit... overpowered.

I might be forgetting something, but if I cannot recall it, then it is probably not important! I hope you enjoy the game as much as I do. All in all it has been enhanced for a realistic experience and it has achieved its goal perfectly and with a plus of history and modeling.
