Should the series pull such a stunt again, they will no longer have my business.

-Do to the unnecessarily greedy move to patent the Nemesis System, I cannot, with good faith, recommend this game. They are threatening the creativity of the games' industry by limiting the number of games that can have interactive enemies. Hopefully, in years to come, someone will challenge this so other games can have interactive rivals in their game.

Interactive rivals have existed since D&D and before. If this were a patent only for the system itself, that's one thing, but trying to prevent any other system from developing their own is malarkey.

EDIT: This review was thumbs up until Feb. 8, 2021.

Before I say anything, I'd like to make a note: Shadow of War was marred by the reputation of loot boxes, and justly so. Had the game not repented and removed the offending factor, I would have waited until the price would have dropped down to a free-to play price before playing. However, because it is attempting to redeem itself, I am willing to play it and purchase it at a higher rate (still 40 bucks for gold edition, but more than before)

The Good: Shadow of War would have been an excellent game, and is still rather good despite it's noted flaws. The animation is top notch, the graphics are great, and the locals are neat. In truth, had it's reputation not been mared by the loot boxes, it would have been remembered as one of the greatest games of 2018. Sadly, this is not the case.

The game has definately made some improvements on the nemesis system, and I love the introduction of spies and betrayals. In my opinon, anything that can create a new story is something good in my books. I do hope to see this system expanded upon in future games in and out of the series.

The Bad: I've riffed on the loot boxes enough, so I'll make a noted flaw on the Nemesis System. Namely, that the nemesis roster is too large. While I still had some good experiences with the system, I found that the large number of environments lead to the system being too spread out. Nemesis from one reigon would never be heard from and you would find five Uruks of the same name in each reigon (namely, a large number of Dushes and Zunes). While the Nemesis system is still lovely, and an inovative aspect of gaming, I feel that Shadow of War shows whats happens when you do not put enough emphasis on the main villian.

The Ugly: Why is Shelob a beautiful woman? Make her of horrifying spider you cowards!

Conclusion: I debated hard on whether or not to recomend this game. In the end, I thought of all the time Monolith spent on creating this game, and how the decision for loot boxes was most likely tacked on by CEOs who wished to drain the money out of my wallet the same way Tallion sucks the will from his victims.

Regardless, Shadow of Mordor will always be one of my best games of all time. The fact that Shadow of War fails to live up due to controversy does not mean it should be forgone forgiveness.

However.

Should the series pull such a stunt again, they will no longer have my business.

Despite the hate its been getting for "War Exhastion", I still think that it's a wonderful game. The Gno'ziel Corperation of Divine Happiness is one of my favorite group's I've created, and overall I still enjoy the stories that play out in the background.

Overall, it's a great game. The only thing I'd note is the late game has the bad habbit of crawling along, but there's only so much you can do.

9/10, would play again.

Great Game. I haven't beaten it, it's hard as hell, but hey. That's what you get for dealing with the devil.

Why are people giving this game a thumbs down? It's a rather innovative game, and the core game is just as good as the DLC. It may get a tad repetivie, but strong gameplay and difficult levels make it worth playing.

+Interesting story. It had the feel of a saturday morning kid's cartoon and undertale.
+ Good art. I love the portrait art.
+ Great characters and character designs.
+Wonderful platforming.

-There is a disconect between the character art and the portrait art.
- Some minions only have one line of dialoge, dispite the fact that everyone else on the ship has a new line per mission.
-Far too short, you can beat the thing in a single day.
-Some frutrations with controls; A very, very slight disconct would occationally occur (like .01 seconds)

Overall: I really enjoyed this game. It's short enough to be a flash game, but it's does have a wonderful cast of characters.

Crude. Rude. Lude. And fun as hell.

Drive down a hi-way of vicious villains as the kickass Mark-skid.

Beware: May offend some people.

It's one of those rare games where you can choose to be genocidally evil or a true pasifist, and the game will call you out on BOTH choises. It's worth the ten bucks. There is plenty of content and the story/characters are rather interesting.

Though the game is cute and addorable, I wouldn't recomend buying it. The game itself is too short; As well, it's overpriced for what it truely is; a choose your own adventure story. Save $5 and go down to your local bookstore instead. If you really want to play it though, wait till it goes on sale.

It's confusing and a bit boring. Not recomended; try the actual blood bowl game.

It's a fun game. It involves a lot of waiting however, in your spare time you can kill and torture enemy agents with gas traps, piranas, and giant egg beaters.
