Early Access Review
Bottom line is this: It's been in early access for 2+ years and the story still has only one chapter. They also unapologetically break your saves every major update. Since it's full price, I don't see any reason to not wait for the full release.

I played it when it first entered early access and the game was stable. Looking at the number of reviews, they have made so much money already, I'm not sure what is taking so long. This is a AAA studio with multiple hits under their belts.

cool it will be accurate in 9 months and I won't have to update it.

$60 price tag and breaking saves is NOT typical of EA games. What EA games are you playing like this?

Steamspy estimates 1-2M owners of Baldurs gate 3. 10-20M owners of Divinity OS 2. Don't know why they chose to use kickstarter but it wasn't because they needed the money. 100's of millions in total $ales. They are a AAA studio or they can afford to be one.

Learn to use a calendar. How in the world is 15 months 2+ years. Do you even realize that there are 12 months in a year?
Get your stuff straight and stop parroting other malcontents.
Other than that the comments below are spot on.

1) it's been in EA since mid-October 2020 (so 15 months which is nowhere near "2+)
2) it is still only chapter 1 because Larian has always planned for EA to ONLY BE ACT 1 and even explicitly stated that in the "why early access" box on the store page that you clearly didn't read.
3) breaking saves is very common in EA builds. Get over it.
4) Why is it taking so long? Because it is a huge game and game development take a long time.

AAA studio? What? DOS games were on the Kickstarter. They aren't even close to be a company of this size.

It's been in early access for 15 months and not 2+ years.
