$60 price tag and breaking saves is NOT typical of EA games. What EA games are you playing like this?
Steamspy estimates 1-2M owners of Baldurs gate 3. 10-20M owners of Divinity OS 2. Don't know why they chose to use kickstarter but it wasn't because they needed the money. 100's of millions in total $ales. They are a AAA studio or they can afford to be one.
Get your stuff straight and stop parroting other malcontents.
Other than that the comments below are spot on.
2) it is still only chapter 1 because Larian has always planned for EA to ONLY BE ACT 1 and even explicitly stated that in the "why early access" box on the store page that you clearly didn't read.
3) breaking saves is very common in EA builds. Get over it.
4) Why is it taking so long? Because it is a huge game and game development take a long time.
