This game was something special. I personally love marvel and XCOM so this game was a perfect blend of the two.

I love this game, everything from the banter to the combat, everything is well thought out and challenging enough to feel rewarding when you get through a difficult mission or challenge. I was originally afraid that because there wasn't any perma-death that it wouldn't feel good but it felt like a breath of fresh air honestly.

I would say if you like Marvel and understand that its....well marvel you will love the story. There are alot of different character dynamics you explore and characters may appear surface value one way, but when you start talking with them and forming bonds you start to see the real *peter parker* or *robbie reyes*.

The hangouts and the *persona* elements was an interesting aspect but it kinda added a bit, the banter is top tier though, stumbling across peter parker calling MJ to make sure aunt mae is ok is the type of things I want to see in a marvel game like this and I didn't disappoint.

Captain America reporting to nick fury and him getting pissed off, its like there is another world within the midnight suns, but the hunter is listening on it.

For me? The conversations and dialogue carry this game. The combat is also fun and challenging which will probably be my focus now that I've beaten the game on the dark path.

I highly recommend this game if you like marvel, but even if you don't if you like seeing characters kinda interact with each other in an interesting way along with having a combat system that is very replay heavy I would recommend this game.

This game has its problems. especially on PC. Judging it as a game, a fighting game though, it essentially has everything it needs in my opinion. The Story Mode not being released on launch didn't bother me, because I play these games from a competitive standpoint, but it DID have a "story" type deal (it was just really short). It also had survival, which was basically arcade mode.

For me personally, costumes don't really matter so I don't really mind the prices on those (but I do feel they are a bit pricy) Capcom has a history of nickle and diming.

As a fighting game to be honest, this is one of the (easiest to pick up, hardest to master) games of the series. This game however, utilzies alot of situations that are entirely 50/50 driven. Even without grapplers, since this game is really bare bones Street Fighter and no real gimmicky things tied to it or ("flashy combo's") to me that makes it alot more of an honest more straight up fighter.

With my connection being lanned, I don't have too many problems with connections, though occasionally I will. The characters themselves this time around are all more or less viable. Debateable ones are like Zangief, but still the roster from a competitive side is mostly usable.

But not ignoring this games problems, on PC atleast its really hard to reccomend this game to anyone from a casual standpoint. I don't feel like there is any advantages for a casual player besides the story. From a competitive standpoint the ranked punishment might be harsh (if you disconnect) but so far I haven't had anyone rage quit on me since that change took in effect.

To be honest, there are other fighters ("like Skullgirls") that are a bit better on PC, but if your trying to get into fighters this game is a good game as well to start.

Honestly though, I'd only get this game on a sale.

I will still reccomend it, but just be warned on PC it does have its fair share of problems.

Fallout 4

Pros
-Exploration that all other bethesda games had is still in Fallout 4.
-Gunplay is alot better than its ever been in a fallout game.
-Settlement building can get "addicting" depending on the type of player you are.
-Junk is now used for different aspects of the game, rather than nothing.
-Soundtrack is great and atmospheric ( a bit subjective on that)
-due to a combination of the soundtrack being good and the gunplay being on point, firefights feel pretty epic.
-Enemy Factions (Gunners,Raiders,Super Mutants) fight eachother and Good Factions (MinuteMan,BoS) in close proximity alot.

Cons
-Clipping through floors still exist.
-Same Static NPC's with little to no personality.
-Frequence of Random Encounters is too low.
-Not enough Mirelurk Queen / Behemoth Type of encounters in the base game
-"Surival" Difficulty isn't difficult at all.
-Not much you can do with your settlements after their built.

Overall, I love Fallot 4, I keep coming back to the game when I'm bored with other games. It has the same vibe skyrim had for me, which was I would always keep playing the game regardless if I had mods or not. I would explore and always find new things because I wouldn't ever explore all of fallout 4 in one play through.

However it has technical issues, and the actual story itself suffers the skyrim syndrome of not actually being that interesting.

So lets be clear
-I never played the older XCOM games
-This is also my first *series* entry in these kind of games.
-I'm judging this game based off of the expansion included.

Pro's
-Alot of different ways of tackling combat situations from a strategic standpoint
-Game runs pretty well on low end laptops (without posting any specs, if you got a 450 laptop from bestbuy or any other brick and motar your fine to run this game)
-The game can be easily modified to be as easy or as hard as you want it to be in terms of difficulty and combat situations.
-Fights are subjectively enjoyable and objectives are always strait foward.
-Tutorial is straitfoward and explains most of everything about the game.
Con's
- Linear Story (thats subjective, but its a con for me)
- Your HQ only gets sieged once (lack of actual base defense)
- Lack of Variation for missions (They're alot, but there should be more)
- Only relevance in having a soilder that stays with you till the end is experience and an achievement.

My Con's are pretty weak, mostly because its what I feel the game is lacking, but in a strategy game like this alot of what I said as a con isn't really needed. Alot of it is just what I wanted to see more of.

I love the game, and would highly reccomend it to anyone regardless of what they've played games of this kind or not.

(Also, the Long War mod expressses my general concerns about the game for the most part :))

Endless Legend is an interesting 4X. It has alot of elements from their previous title Endless Space (Anomalies, Unit Customization, Approval Mechanic) just to name a few. However, the combat of the game is different and thats subjective really (I like it, but I haven't been in too many bigger battles) its alot less rock paper scissor's now though. Overall though, I like playing the game, the AI is more or less smart to what you expect, but they're pretty aggressive. I never had an AI help me or give me anything just mock me and go to war. But, it itches my (I want to play a 4X real quick) itch. Biggest thing to me that it has going for is how they incorporate the main quest into the game. Its basically a questline you have the option of following in the game or not.

Overall, Endless Legend is a good 4X that doesn't really take forever to complete, and is generally fun to play against AI. With no real campaign mode though I can see people not really caring for the game, but I like it!

Pros
+Not too lengthy
+Familiar Interface (From Civ and Endless Space)
+Individualizing Units and Heroes are possible
+Alot harder to achieve a Military Victory than other 4X's (in my opinion atleast)
+Race / Playstyle Variety

Cons
-Not really for beginners into the genre
-Graphics look pretty, but bog the system down(an example is scrolling from the "world view" to ground level)
-Not a 4X for low end systems(opinion)
-Combat takes a bit getting used to, isn't strait foward(probally just me being an idiot though)
-No actual events to really drive players to do certain things differently(like in endless space)

This is a very useful tool for people trying to make their own little test RPG. Programming wise its easy to understand if you understand logic flow, and game character hub being another useful tool to use on top of this, it makes this a really great gift for people you know have great Idea's that want to experiement.

Overview:

Pros:
-Interface is easy to understand and use
-Publishing Process is easy
-With game character hub (sold seperately) customizing characters becomes alot easier
-LOTS of resources out for creating all types of RPG's
-Helpful Community

Cons:
-(not really a con)Is not instant make game(this misconception is common withe (game maker type engines))
-alot of things you have to script around when creating something barebones(this becomes less so with experience)
-limited exporting options as far as what platform you want to release is concerned

This game is a really good turn based sRPG. It has 4X elements, but I'd honeslty call it more a sRPG than anything based on the mechanics of the game. Think XCOM combat()

Pros
+ Satisfying Manuel Combat
+ Easy City Management System
+ Encourages Different types of playstyles with due to having ALOT of different skills to choose from when
you level up your hero.
+ Transparency with Race/Class/Units make them all seem the same, but
in reaity are very different.
+ Playing Campaign content is satisfying.
+ Great Co Op capabilities.
Cons
- Class Balance
- Starting Spells are random and Spell tree isn't visible(Your "Build" might be on hold until you get the
right spells)
- No real reason to use Sea Units(there is, but it isn't )
- Combat between players pauses the overall game (the game resume's when the battle is over)

So far, this game is really great! I've only played a few matches but this is one of the few games where the art really helps me understand what exactly I'm looking at. As far as the game goes after playing a few matches its very smooth but I hadn't had any network latency problems however if I did I didn't notice it.

After looking at the tutorials and the advance training (which is highlighted to you at the beginning) everything pretty much made sense as far as what icon did what within the GUI of the game, but the mechanics of strength and armor didn't quite get cleared up for me until my third match.

Which is fine, because even though I lost 2 matches, I still gained exp since my squad members got kills. Its a great system they have implemented that allows your warriors to gain exp as long as they get kills and you get renown for staying in a match all the way through.

Like a real warrior!

Had alot of suprises with this game for my first playthrough of it. This point and click title has alot of depth that I missed on my playthrough however, the depth that I did see with the decisions that you made within the game is clearly visible.

Alof of games give you that illusion of choice, however when you make decisions in this game they realy matter and you will see the effects of them. I would only say that the downside of this is the lack of supporting NPC dialogue mostly because I couldn't get attached to....anyone in this game.

I got to a part where I had to make a crucial decision (not spoiling the game) and I didn't care about the person I was saving, I was moreso concerned with my status in the game of being the ultimate peace-making monster.

Regardless, this game does its job and thats give an emotional but uplifting story in a short amount of time.

Game Dev Tycoon doesn't quite simulate the experience of game development, but it does a pretty good job of covering the subject. As a game, the satisfaction and thrill of releasing a game and waiting for that review to see how your measures in the public is great!

The pacing is slow, like most games in the simulation genre, but it has rewards / punishments for not paying attention to different things in the game at certain times.

The option to set how long you want your "industry span" to be is good for players who want get things done faster as well as hit those high scores faster. Accidentaly hiring famous developers is funny and has great impact on how your games are being developed.

To me, all this game is missing is a degree of depth for me to say its not the perfect game dev sim out there right now. Otherwise I would say its NEAR perfect.
