Sorry I missed your message. I have an older set of drivers that Rage works pretty well with. I do have some streaming textures (like most everyone else), but it doesn't really detract from the game as much as you might think. I'm confident they'll patch it, and it is quite fun as it is right now. I read the forums before I played the game, and was worried myself. But after playing it I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
