Potentially unbeatable event in new Fast and Furious DLC

Not sure if this is just due to poor testing or not, but a new Eliminator event in the Fast and Furious DLC is a Point-to-Point race, and if you reach the end, the event does not end. You just fly off the finish ramp and hit the wall, then respawn at the finish line. If there are still AI opponents racing against you, they do the same, and to make it worse, can overtake you, even if you crossed the line first. The only way to come first is to somehow sit before what the game claims to be the next checkp...

It's really a fun racing game. I've enjoyed playing through the story and have played online a few times. It does take a little bit to get into a game online but I didn't mind the wait. This game is much better than the first one and it's easier compared to the first one. I used to collect hot wheels when I was younger so this brings back some memories of them. I would recommend the game to anyone that is a racing fan or a hot wheels enthusiast.

Cutscenes won't play on Steam Deck

As in the title cutscenes before races won't play and show a blackscreen. Until recently (before the patch yesterday) you could just skip them. This is no longer possible and keeps me from progression and finishing the game. Any workarounds?
