First, I have had a love hate relationship with this game for a long time. The gameplay is amazing. The graphics, theme, game mechanics are all top notch. The cheating, and ping abusing, latency is all pretty bad. Decide for yourself how important those things are.

On to the new 1896 update. The new map, simply phenominal... it looks amazing. So well done. The UI however, is absolutely atrocious. This is a game where you spend a good chunk of time in a menu equipping, customizing your character. When you are playing with a teamate or teamates that process can take quite a while. They have somehow made it much harder to equip your characters, much harder to find your characters, nearly impossible to navigate the menu quickly. Things that used to take one click are now clicking back and forth through multiple menus. I found myself tonight just using random hunters that I did not prefer to use simply so that I did not have to navigate the nightmare that is the UI. Honestly whoever designed it should be fired.


A game with great potential that unfortunately just is not worth playing. Ill start with the positives. Great atmosphere, great gameplay, great graphics, sound etc. So... its gotta be great right? Unfortunately no.

Over the past week I have been killed countless times while inside buildings, or behind walls, behind trees etc. all with "through wall" headshots. My teamate and I were just killed at 35 meters by 2 headshots through walls. Literally ZERO chance anyone could have seen us, and two shots ring out and drop us both from inside buildings.

So unless the developer can implement some sort of "kill cam" similar to pubg, and allow some kind of reporting, or if they get really serious about cheating I would say do not buy this game. Why sink a half hour into a match being super careful not to be killed only to have someone shoot you through walls because they are using aimbots or wall hacks etc. A quick youtube search will show what is happening... and it seems to have become very widespread. The first few weeks that I played it was not a problem but it seems to be getting worse by the day... until that is fixed I could not recommend this.
