Played on Linux. Runs well, pleasing aesthetic and satisfying sound effects. Overall it's a nice relaxing game. I like it! It seems to have dedicated developers who are active in the forums etc, which is good because the game could use some polish. For example when placing buildings, they cannot be placed if there's a mere of shadow of un-mined rock where you're trying to place it. Building cannot be rotated for some reason. Some buildings or items doesn't really seem to have a purpose...? Balancing issues? Overall I still enjoy it and would recommend. The campaign is very easy so far, but that's totally fine by me. I'm not trying to have a super-challenging hardcore experience when playing this game, I just want to relax and chill. And in most cases you can just call waves in advance if you find it too easy and want to get a level done faster.

Played on Linux.

Demo worked, purchasing the full game. This game not having any money (and the corresponding taxes -> exports -> etc) makes it a bit more relaxing than your traditional city builder.

Played on Linux using Proton.

It's a fun game. The amount of weaponry means that it gets a bit same:y after a few hours. But it costs 2.3 euro, so it's difficult to complain.

It still holds up after all this time. The best part of this game is roleplaying as a certain archetype, for example going out in the wastes to hunt giant ants as a cowboy, or suiting up in Tesla Armor and being a high-tech trooper. The almost endless amount of mods also greatly help with the longevity of this game.

The worst part of this game is probably its rather poor optimization and its framerate being tied to the game logic, meaning that you can't exceed 60 fps without breaking the game. The game runs at a pretty steady 60 fps with an Nvidia 1070 though, so it's not all too bad.

I had to refund this game due to graphics issues. When the player character moves, everything is blurry / jittery. When searching "blurry movement" or "jittery movement" in the forums, plenty of posts come up explaining the same thing.

This is not due to graphics drivers, graphics options or motion blur, it's due to how the player character is coded to move. Instead of movement being smooth and continuous, the player character moves 1 in-game cell at a time. Lets say each cell is 5 cm long. That means the character is rapidly "teleporting" 5 cm distances maybe 20 times a second. This obviously causes blurs / jitters when moving. If you stand still and look around, it's fine. It's just when you start moving that blurryness and jitters appears. Unfortunately you do a lot of moving in this game, and I can't deal with it.

Seeing as the forums posts about this were numerous and old, I have no reason to believe the develops will address this issue, so I had to refund my purchase.

Most notable positive: The best story I've ever experienced in a rougelite. Or "story", it's more like lore but still. Throughout your repeated travels you'll have conversational snippets with different gods, which is a nice addition in a genre where story / lore is usually quite devoid.

Most notable negative: The game is so flashy with pronounced visual effects that it's difficult to see your enemies. That also makes it difficult to see if they're charging up for an attack or the like. I would have preferred less flash to make the game more easily readable.

This game could be priced twice as much and still be worth the buy. Nice little casual game to play for short periods of time.

It seems to have all the good aspects from Risk of Rain 1, and also fixes the issue from the first game of enemies being to bullet spongey.

"The immersion is off the scale in this game." - Mack from Worth A Buy.

One thing that stands out is the dialogue. It doesn't feel like a script for a video game, it feels like its taken directly from real conversations. I can't remember how many times after a conversation or event, I find myself thinking "yeah... that actually makes very much sense".

From a purely RPG-perspective this is one of the best, if not the best, RPG game I've ever come across.

Yeah, it's solitaire.

It's pretty well coded actually:
- It dynamically zooms in or out depending on how tall the card stacks you have are
- Automagically places the card where you want to place it (usually) by just clicking the card, instead of having to drag it
- Works fine to alt+tab
- Dynamic render resolution for some reason (became more pixalated after alt+tabing but slowly changed back to 1080)
- Ability to replay a game, if you think you messed up

I honestly just downloaded this game because I was curious, I was half expecting an obvious student project since there seems to be no monetary gain what so ever from the developers. If it's a student project, these people must be top of their class.
