The kind of rage one experiences playing this game is truly unparalleled, in this regard it is a worthy successor to CoH2. It's a slow building feeling.

'Ah, lost a soldier there, no matter that's why they come in squads. Let's just reposition...'

'Ope, gotta back out of that fight, it's not going well.'

'Well, I gave them an MG.'

"The fools! They blew up my decoy tank."

"Mien fuhrer, ...Steiner..." 😐👓😑😡🤬

As the little mistakes build up managing your tilt becomes the core gameplay mechanic that decides whether you regroup and make a come back or succumb to increasingly rash decisions. The addictiveness of the formula at least for multiplayer comes, in my opinion, from these dynamics. You can feel it when you're winning, watching the enemy lose squads when you've forced his attention elsewhere, watching his tanks dive waay to deep trying to chase a unit that wiped his mortar, and it's as satisfying as it is painful when you're on the other end.

Unique little city builder rogue-lite that exploits layered mechanics and randomized elements to stay fresh. Each race of villagers has different sorts of needs, and the development of any village is constrained by the set of buildings that are available that round as well as the challenges that you'll face as you expand.

The idea here is that you build out a village until it reaches a threshold then you zoom back out to an overworld map where you pick the starting location for the next village. Each completed village gives you bonuses/lets you level up a tree of upgrades that give you more options when setting out to build more villages.

It's a unique take on the genre and a fairly relaxing game to scratch that city building itch at any point without having to face the 'dear god, what was I trying to do/work on last time' that can happen when loading up saves from more traditional city builder games.

First off there is no single player, nor any AI. The only multiplayer mode available is 1v1 vs other humans.

That said, this is a really unique take on real time strategy, and it's absolutely worth supporting. The game focuses on macro level strategy. Building up production lines for various different kinds of units, drawing front lines, ensuring you're prepared to repel offensives all while planning your own.

You're given a wide variety of units to hatch your schemes. Has a skirmish in the mountains gone on for too long? Consider paradropping commandos behind enemy lines, or redirecting your enemys attention with a naval invasion on a flank.

There is an element of anxiety at first, coming from other RTS games, you'll want to react quickly to an unexpected offensive. This will likely be a mess as you frantically paint the field with piccaso-esque commands. It will take time to unlearn the urgency other games will have drilled into you, as well as the command system. Take your time, consider your options, and respond with care, remember, your opponent's units move just as slow as yours.

All in all, if you enjoy RTS games and want to try something new. This game along with Offworld Trading Company are probably some of the most creative and welcome additions to the genre I've had a pleasure to play.

The sheer number of enemies you get to face in this survival/basebuilding/tower defense game is awesome. When the final hoards arrive at your walls, no matter how prepared you are you'll feel your hands get sweaty.

Very intense gameplay, quite a bit of depth in the mechanics, a nifty art style, a civilization-esque addictiveness as you want to wait out just one more wave/building/tower/wall/base expansion.

I will note that the game is more demanding on hardware than it's graphics make it look on account of the number of entities being rendered at once.

Fantastic expansion that acts as a prequel to the main game. 9 hours of fantastic content await, with truely breathtaking set peices and well crafted level design allowing you to approach each situation in different ways. The 1946 setting allows you to use some older style weapons which I appreciated as they were under used in the main game in my opionion. Either way, 'The Old Blood' is well worth the price of admission and will have you pumped for the next installment this October.

Wow, pure high octane action. I love it. Some important things to note however, this is not your typical COD like shooting, the story is near meaningless, the AI does little more than stand in the place where it spawned and shoot in your general direction. But that is ok, this game is in no way serious, This is a game about guns, that is is pure and simple it is a game about guns and what happens when you shoot them at felshy, explosive and otherwise interesting every day objects.

Now, this isnt to say that the game isn't challanging, the levels are full of secret room, puzzles and all sorts of other cool things to keep you entertained. I can also see myslef picking this game up a lot to learn the levels and get better at speed running, something that I've always enjoyed to do on other old school shooters like doom.

To summerize this game is awesome and when you have 10 min to play and nothing to do its a great shooter with plenty of mindless action to keep your adrenaline pumping
