So why did it receive review bomb? Because Drama from the Developer and their Chinese player base. This game is MADE by a well known Chinese game studio who made a popular Waifu Gacha game series Girls Frontline . Prior to the release of Reverse Collapse, the game dev MICA team was accused of disrespecting their Chinese player base during the beta testing of their another game Girls Frontline 2! The allegation was The dev put in NTR (cu*koldry) story contents to spite it's player base. This events and the subsequent dramas triggered a massive amount of negative attentions to the game dev, particularity players from China and MICA team games are now all targeted by people who are embroiled in this drama. Both postive and negative, Review of this game might not always reflective of it's actual merits.

But it's an okay game for a strategy game, this game is actually a remake of the 2009 code name bakery girl, it was MICA team's very first game and a proof of concept work.

A great game adaptations for the 1997 starship trooper movie!

The game did a great job of capturing many of the element from the 1997 starship trooper movie, and successfully implement them as part of the game play.

This game is all about setting up over lapping firing lines to maximize your firepower to kill bugs, most of the units you get if not properly spaced out will end up blocking each other's line of sights, and (with exceptions of few special units like the marine) they won't be able to shoot the bugs when their friends are in the way, so the volume of fire is significantly reduced, proper spacing of units is very important and will ensure the troopers under you command able to live longer and kills way more bugs. it also heavily punish you for blobing units and rushes, remember the guy who run ahead in the first battle of klandathu in the movie? that will happen when you rush too forward into the bugs without properly setting up your forces, the game absolutely reward you for setting up good firing line and funnel the bug waves and when you do even just 2 squads can hold back a massive wave.

the concepts are bit like a tower defense game except you don't place them on fixed grids, and you get to move your units like any other RTS games.

recommend get this game!

1) you don't need clans to play the game, you can do a lot of simple stuffs without clans or long time commitment, been playing on and off for this game, didn't join any clan and pretty much have tried most things. but to start doing anything just grab a gun and start shooting or something. please remember don't be wasteful because logistic is a pain. recommend just take 2 clips and 1 rifle and pick up stuffs on the ground since a active front line is generally filled with dead bodies that has stuffs on them.

2) There are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everywhere. some people pretend that they can't do bigger thing without clan cuz "hording resouces" there are so many nodes on the maps where those clans build free resource generator for anyone to use, now you don't even need a sledge hammer. yes that means you have to drive further away, but you are accessing them for FREE and those clans build them fill them up with gas they put a lot of work into building and maintaining stuffs that casual players can just access for free, i can't even imagine the hours of works every time a new war start.

3) causal logi is not hard. YES IT'S NOT HARD TO CASUAL LOGI JUST BORING. non clan player absolutely can build a lot of essential materials like guns ammo and medical supplies and send them to front in need, also the easist way to farm commend.

people are harsh on the game cuz they don't know how to play, a lot of FPS whiner comes here write reivew saying how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game is due to peaking and third person camera and then complain the game being generic...

wow not like there are a million other First person shooter out there,

that said the game is not in a good state obviously cuz it's first made by Nexon, second no there aren't a million hackers, a lot of people just suck at the game and think it's hacking, the devs do ban people reguarly for hacking so their response is okay so far.

This game does suffer from lack of player, peak is about 1 to 2 k player base and low end 600 to 700, not a lot of players so take a long time to find match some time up to 5 minutes.

overall a pretty solid game, but i doubt it will ever be "e sport" like nexon desperately trying to make this game into.

The people who complain about the game AI Cheat, definitely doesn't know how to actually play the game, yes they do have a slight man power advantage but that's only slight and also because they are not that smart.

so you will spend majority of your time playing conquest mode,

The trick of playing this game is VISION, always bring a unit with Binocular like an officer or scout unit, (such a commissar) you can pretty much go, through the conquest mode with ease save the hardest difficulties.

When attacking, Spot where u r going, this game is about TANKS and VISION! so always bring armor cars or tanks of variety kind as your PRIMARY OFFENSIVE UNIT, Bring infantry along mostly for vision don't expect them to do any more than just provide vision and sometime clearing out straggler infantry.

you can bring your own flavor combo, like MG team, mortar, or AT Guns, but always remember the primary way this game is played is a combinations of Tanks+vision. it's the core of your army. always make sure you have enough TANKS supported by enough EYES.

When ti comes to Alien, everything is "meh", seen it a million times, due to way to many alien games and medias over the DECADES, so its not the game's fault, its' the franchies problem.

HOWEVER there is a MASSIVE GAME PROBLEM! The TEAM IS A SINGLE UNIT, you can not control individual squad members, they glued together. common alien VS predator extinction a PLAY STATION 2 GAMES FROM 2 DECADES AGO allow you to control individual SOLDIER. make searching the room very tedious.

beside that still enjoyable in short bursts.

Played this years before, stopped playing around 2020, came back to try it out in 2023. and the game is just full of hacks and custom "mods" that have crazy effects. like allowing player to spawn helicopters and tanks, spawn a floating tower in mid air.it's just full of hackers and "paid" special mod players.

what other games allow you to create Angelic undead barbarian Elf girls?

It's three kingdom + gundam in space 2. if you played the first one you will expect a lot of the same thing from the first game, not that it's a bad thing, there are some new stuffs in game,

combat animations was removed kinda sad about that but understandable as it would create way too much work for the one man dev guy. for all the new units he added, in it's place the units just slash and fire each other directly on map. it's less epic.

The dev added a new faction the US Revolutionary war/civl war inspired called it free star alliance, i can see the dev must be also playing homage to Legend of Galatic Hero, now i don't think this is a bad thing on it's own, but i do find it a bit out of place given that all the major players are based on ancient asian fantasy, and some ancient middle east and European inspiration, but then you got this US inspired faction, just look like a regular sci fi faction, it's kind of bland, and character portrait of the free star alliance all look as a regular civil war era uniforms, this make them look very generic and un interesting. feel like the Free star alliance was added in a rush and didn't really think it through like the dev did with the Chinese, Japanese and middle east fantasy sci fi blend.

overall still a great game for strategy game fan.

The game disappeared from my library, i didn't ask for a refound and now it's just gone forever there i am not buying the game again for something i already paid.
