I've tried a fair number of idle games, and this one by far has the most complexity and choice available. You start out by picking one of a couple factions which at first don't seem to change much, but as you reincarnate it keeps adding new variety to the game. You'll end up with 3 alignments, 9 factions, customizable research upgrades, and the almighty mercenary faction which let's you cherry pick abilities from the others. And on top of this it has acheivements that bring actual benefit to you ingame, things like more mana regen, more stuff when you click etc, not that garbage nothing or 1% increase as seen in almost every other idle game.

I keep looking but nothing has come close to topping Realm Grinder for me yet.

Con: No music/sound.

This does not feel like an early access title. There is a lot of content here and things don't feel broken or missing. Add to that having significant updates every few months and things will just get better. The game is fun, challenging, has good replay value, and in general is just well worth your time and money.

103 Hours into the game I got to make my character. Totally serious, I checked the steam time played when the screen popped up.

Did you like Bioshock? System Shock 2? Stop reading and buy this game now.

To everyone else it is an amazing semi openmap experience with a good story. Lots of variety with weapons and powers and the locations are varied enough. Tons of random collectable items too.

My only gripe is that this is a "reboot" that has nothing to do with the original. Not that the original was bad or anything, but they should've just given this game a new name. This game has virtually nothing except it's name in common with the original xbox title. That is by far the biggest screwup to do with this game.

I loved Dawn of War 1, big epic battle with massive units and chaos.
I hated Dawn of War 2, Few units, no base all tactical. Not a bad game but not my idea of fun.
I'm loving Dawn of War 3 since it brought back building bases and the large armies with huge units. Yay for a new RTS.

All the teams seem decently balanced as I haven't come across any strats that win all the time. Elites are powerful but not gamebreaking. Only 8 MP maps to start with, but I'm sure that'll go up as time passes.

Excellent game, worth every penny!

Pros:
Co-op Awesomeness.
4 Unique classes to play as.
Per level difficulty levels to fit exactly how easy or masochistic you want to play.
Punch not godzilla in the face with a giant mech, and make it a goal to punch all the other enemies in the face too!

Cons:
Single player is kinda boring, don't play alone.
If you have archnophoba don't even think of playing this.

It's rare to find a game that hasn't lost one of more features during development, add to that the lack of clear "what do you do in it" and the foolish preorder mentality of this day and age and you have a recipe for disaster from anyone blindly following the hype train. If nothing else good comes of this maybe we can all learn a lesson on not preordering unplayed and unproven games.

The closest relatable way I can describe this game would be alpha/beta minecraft without multiplayer or building houses, with added flight between planets, upgradeable and replaceable gear/ships, and npcs with unique languages you need to learn if you don't want to rely on the body language. To be blunt, but if nothing about that appeals to you then find another game as you won't enjoy this one. If you do like the sound of that, then you might very well enjoy this game.

Repeatedly fending off the urge to pull all nighters during the work week. Always a good sign

EDIT: 2018 Patch 2.0 update:
I love the new changes. Pure hyperlane maps were already the most fun so good move there. The new claim and expansion systems work quite well. The changes to discourage doom stacks all blend together to make it a much more enjoyable time where wars arent usually won in the first encounter.

This game is is like playing a 2 person game in civilization where you play both teams against yourself.
