Below average hack and slash RPG, get it only if you are a big fan of the genre and only on a deep sale.

This game tries so very, very hard to be Generals. Alas, it fails quite miserably. I will review it in terms of single player and skirmish, I don't play strategy games multiplayer, it is invariably a bad experience no matter the game.

Single player is a write off. Voice acting is literally the worst I have ever experienced in a strategy game and not a "so bad it's good kind of way". It doesn't try to go for campy acting, it tries serious and fails even harder. The missions themselves are either boring or full of "gotcha, you going to have to repeat this part" moments where you are unlikely to succeed the first time. That is because the enemy will use overwhelming force in one point and you are unlikely to win unless you have exactly the right unit mixture in exactly the right place when the scripted event happens. There is also an evacuation mission where the enemy fire multiple superweapons at you and you don't even have a counter at that point in time, you instead have to evacuate, this is a strategy game equivalent of an "escort vip mission", lame beyond compare.

Skirmish is just average, all the ingredients to make a good RTS are here, you got your "Rock, Paper, Scissors" unit interactions, you got some decent maps, you have to manage 3 resources and upgrade trees. But something is missing, the game has no soul. I will say this: the graphics are nice and it's relatively glitch free, but while I spent hundreds of hours in Generals, I can't see myself reaching even 20 in this.

A game with an interesting story and cool setting massively let down by subpar combat, in particular atrocious bossfight with QTE (cancer on gaming).

This game could have been awesome if the combat was actually well implemented as it stands it's just a button mash affair with standard enemies. Also, I really don't understand why developers keep shoving QTE into games, newsflash: I don't want to watch an interactive scene, I want to actually PLAY THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME!

I am glad I got this on a deep discount during a Steam Summer Sale. This game is a major downgrade to X3. The only thing that is better is the graphics.

Pros:
- Graphics are nice.

Cons:
- Combat feels completely off.
- You can only pilot one ship.
- Cannot build massive station complexes like in X3.
- No SETA. Whoever thought that was a good idea needs a brain transplant.
- Highway system which is so far inferior to Jumpdrive + Gates system of X3 it's not even funny.
- Wooden dialogue from NPCs. Who voiced this? A robot?
- "Station interiors"... Here is a tip: if you can't do something properly, don't do it at all. Interiors are so poorly done that they don't add anything to the game.

There are three parts to this package and none of them disappoint.

The Gun.
This pack is worth it for Valkyria alone. That gun is simply amazing. Put a Semi-auto upgrade on it and never run out of ammo or fear Tazers. It is great in stealth, awesome for dodge and even works on ICTV builds.

Voiceover.
Sokol's pager lines are pretty good but not as funny as Dragan's. The rest of his lines are pretty good and when his Russian is flawless.

Perkdeck. This is my new favourite perk deck. It is very good on Overkill and below as you can get back all your lost stealth pretty quickly and without using equipment. It is reasonably competent on DW as well but won't be replacing Rogue for dodgers as it relies too heavily on always staying in cover and taking potshots. If you get downed in the open you will likely get downed again as soon as you get revived. Still, if you mostly play on Overkill and below (like myself) this perkdeck is quite simply the best.

Overall this pack is a resounding success.

There are three parts to this package, the heist in stealth, the heist in loud and the gun.

Stealth heist is just plain bad, it is a civ filled gotchya heist with a whole lot of blind corners. One minor stuff up and you get a chain reaction of exclamation marks every single time. Due to zero margin for error, this heist should only be done in solo unless playing with friends who are good in stealth. It will take you at least half hour to do this solo with all bags, DO NOT do this heist if you are looking to level, the reward makes no sense from a risk/benefit standpoint. This is another heist most people will only do once in stealth just to get the two achievements associated with stealth completion.

Loud heist is ok with lots of different pre-plan options and decent map layout. It feels like it has too few enemy spawns though and way, way too much bag moving. Do not select anything other than van escape unless you want to move bags until sun goes dark from heat death.

The gun is a pretty average DMR rifle. It's damage is good but stability is average and hipfire accuracy atrocious. AMR-16 is a far better DMR rifle.

Overall this package is a dissapointment, the loud portion being merely ok doesn't compensate for rubbish stealth and mediocre weapon. Only buy this if you are an achievement addict.

This game is basically Dead Island with parkour and nighttime zombie supercharge gimmick thrown in. I enjoyed the game but not unreservedly, there are upsides and downsides to it.

Pros:
- Graphics are excellent, even on medium settings.
- Parkour adds a new dimension to the game and for the most part well executed.
- Decent melee gameplay, weapons and feedback feel right.
- Gunplay is good.
- Good melee upgrade system.
- Well executed and believable city.
- Interesting and rewarding skill trees.

Cons:
- Story is boring and predictable.
- Characters are bland and instantly forgettable.
- Melee weapons are treated as consumables - that orange quality sword you spent 12 grand on, it will become worthless after 5 repairs.
- Parkour feels underdone compared to AC.
- Nighttime gameplay is poorly executed, odds are stacked too heavily in favour of zombies, if you love the feeling of being hunted you will probably enjoy it though.
- As far as I can tell range weapons are not up-gradable like they were in Dead Island.
- The prologue drags on for an hour during which it will take you a few minutes just to kill a simple biter.

Pros:
* Burglar deck is excellent for stealthing.
* Queen's Wrath is decent but not great.
* Clover + Almir's Beard does not get old, this justifies the price tag by itself.

Cons:
* Clover has incredibly annoying screechy voice.

This game has been quite a rollercoaster, I started playing it in 2014 and it was amazing, I used to play it for hours on end and I got the vast majority of my steam friends in this game. They don't play it anymore, out 100+ friends I met in PD2, only 2 or 3 still regularly play this game. The thing is, after a whole lot of inept balancing that the devs subjected this game to, it ended up in a very bad place. The rollercoaster of ♥♥♥♥ that saw a weapon go from godly to worthless, back to awesome, than down to useless only repeat that same cycle a few more times has ultimately resulted in weapons that feel samey within categories and a bit too powerful. To combat this, Overkill upped the spawn rates to insane levels, now you can have 100 cops on the screen at the same time. It's a zerg rush and it's not fun to play in the least.

Now onto the stealth part, PD2 used to be a pretty decent stealth game and the older stealth heists are still pretty decent the new ones, on the other hand are utter trash. Too many guards, lots of blind corners and no possibility of correcting a mistake, once you are spotted, it's game over and all your efforts up to that point are completely wasted.

To add to all that, the game looks terrible but still requires a decent PC to run and just about every new heist that comes out has some major bugs. The latest and worst heist in the game, White House, causes my Steam and Youtube to slow down to a crawl even after the game is closed, only restarting a computer fixes it. This is on a PC with a 1080GTX, an SSD and a 6700 CPU which is vastly more powerful than even the "Recommended" specs.
