Amazing sandbox experience.
At-Your-Pace gameplay.
Visually pleasing/soothing.
Meaningful Updates/Patches.

If your imagination had a wife, it will cheat with this game constantly. This game makes my brain wet.

I initially had huge ambition to write a detailed review about this game, but the idea here is to half-ass it for now and edit it later.

Beautiful graphics
Night City is wonderful
Mediocre Gameplay

But ultimately it's alright, considering sale prices.

Feels like this game was inspired by many other games I've played in the past and unfortunately during that process, it failed to grip the game mechanic that would be unique enough to define this title.
Every aspect of the game is well developed, but nothing ever stands out to get me excited about possible sequel for me.

I still recommend this game to anyone who might not have access to other games within its genre or anyone who wants to play RPG for the first time, but bit hesitant to recommend to any gamers that are familiar already, especially as of 2021 when I'm writing this review.

This franchise has finally found its modern identity with Doom Eternal. It feels like they went back to bring back a lot of elements from classic doom and took what was great in Doom 2016 and improved on it.

+Graphics - Improved engine in Vulkan.
+Level Design - vastly improved to compliment the new dash mechanic and similar to Doom classic design.
+Sound - Gun sounds heavier, great soundtrack
+Gameplay - It's been vastly improved. Dash, grenade/freezing launcher, Flame Belch, Blood Punch, are great addition to the game. More variety of monsters that really defines their role when fighting in groups. Prioritizing certain enemies and choosing a type of weapons to kill specific demons has always been important mechanic to Doom and they found a great way to implement that mechanic while also introducing new modern mechanics mentioned earlier.
+No microtransactions - Game has unlockable skins but no in-game store.

-No classic Deathmatch Multiplayer
-Corpse still vanishes - maybe we will have the technology to be able to one day.
-Cheaped out on slayer death animations.
-UI is half-baked. Modernized UI from the classic would of done this game a justice! (with face and everything)

Other Thoughts: Doom Eternal is an amazing FPS game. It didn't have an impact like classic Doom once did when it came out, but after what it felt like a long absence, I'm convinced to say they finally found their identity among many first person shooters out there. Not only with their improved presentation and added contents, but it separated itself from falling a victim of a beloved franchise playing safe and losing its identity in the process.
Doom Eternal development has been as bold as the doom guy and I cannot recommend this game enough to people who might be interested in a good FPS.

Bass Review (Real Tone Cable)

TLDR: Rocksmith 2014 Edition is a great learning tool/game for the right person and clearly not designed for everyone.

+ Tech works. I personally have no issue with delay using Real Tone Cable with my bass guitar.

+ Variety music selections, not popular selections (core game, not dlcs) which exposes different style of music you might never thought you liked.......in a game that helps you teaches you an instrument. Makes sense.

+ Lesson video tutorials. It ranges from 'how to put on your straps' to 'slap and pop' with a exercises to compliment. There are even mini games in Guitarcade mode to help you engage some techniques.

+ Tone Designer. let's you create your own tones and apply them to any of songs that you're playing. Each song comes with their own tones you can save/load to customize them further then to use them on demand with no restrictions.

+ Session Mode. Teaches you scales and a place to just jam out. You can choose other AI instruments (drum, piano, etc) to play along with your tempo. Many options available and it could be a very versatile tool depends on how far user wants to take it.

+ Riff Repeater. You can practice each individual sections of a song. Also let you change the speed (1%-100%) and difficulty(1%-100%) of the song you're playing. It helps a ton to slow down then to speed up slowly on those tough sections and practice until you nail it at 100% speed and this mode is designed mainly for that reason. You have option to let the game automatically increase/decrease depends on how well/worse you're currently playing.

- Game is forgiving and not perfect. There are no penalty for hitting more notes. You can literally play double the amount of notes and still come out 100% at the end. Some might have mixed feelings about that core mechanic and idea so I'm throwing it out there.
The game gives the user with percentage system as a feedback and not having a penalty towards such a mistake could be misinterpreted by the user how well they're actually doing.......in a game that helps you teaches you an instrument. Doesn't make sense.

- Not as clear as sheet music. Sheet music has notes that tells you exactly how long a notes are supposed to be. This game's UI does not. Expect karaoke-guitar-like experience where more you listen to a song, you will just know how long the notes are roughly supposed to be.

- Tough learning curve for brand new players. Expect to learn both bass and Rocksmith's UI at the same time which could be overwhelming if you never played Guitar Hero, Rockband, Etc.

* I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to learn bass, but does not have an ambition of becoming a virtuoso and rather just to learn something because it sounds cool and you always wanted to.

* I was lucky enough to have a bit of experience with both electric bass and 'Guitar Hero-like User Interface' before the game's release to understand it faster than someone who would've never have experienced neither or one of the two.

* If you expect this game to teach you music, you will be disappointed. But if you're looking for a fun tool to help you push the frustration of lack of improvements in bass, this game can help a ton. The game is engaging, rewarding, and versatile.

* If you take this as a game and nothing more, it's a pretty good guitar-karaoke game. But if you consider it more like a tool to help you get better and have fun with your bass, I haven't found anything better so far.

Amazing game. I can tell this was their passion project. The amount of quality and content is unmatched compared to their competition. This was their first attempt at the open world with such a scale, yet they were able to achieve a new standard when it comes to the genre, raising the bar much higher, proving that it does not take crazy amount of funds, investors or monetization to achieve it. I will be talking about this game many years to come, even revisit whenever I feel like I needed to be reminded that there was a time when games were made by people who had same interest as their audiences.

The only game in its genre to held my attention since Diablo 2 with its unique gameplay and replayability. Might look dated with its first impression yet truly ahead of its time with unique game mechanic. Highly recommended for ARPG fans.

I personally hated Fallout 4 at launch. I couldn't help myself but to compare this game to all the previous Fallout games that I played in the past. When Fallout 3 was released, I was amazed how the game brought a lot of new elements to the franchise. Maybe I was expecting the same or maybe even more with this title; my expectation was so high that it probably took a miracle to impress me at this point. But I didn't realize this at the time and my feeling toward the game was totally biased and unfair.

After playing this game for about 5 hours at launch, after checking out the game's updated graphics and that excited feeling when you finally get to play the game you been waiting has past, I started to realize that everything was so redundant and familiar. At this point, the game started to feel like a chore because I felt like I been through this before many time from their previous title such as FO3, Vegas, and even from Skyrim. I simply quit this game because I felt like I'm just playing this game because I just payed for it. I quit the game completely and moved on to other titles.

And about a year later, I found out they implemented "Survival" difficulty (I'm not sure this was an option at launch). Now I have to say survival mode in Fallout 4 really saved how I felt about this game. I played something similar in FO3 Vegas, but this was a slightly improved version of it and I personally think this ties the game perfectly if you have the time to invest in it.

In survival mode, many things are different from the normal difficulty content. When you play survival, game forces the player to think about many elements in the game otherwise irrelevant. Your character has 3 things to worry about in survival. He/She will go hungry, thirsty, sleepy over time just like you would in real life. And if your character suffers from lack of any of these, it will lower your maximum AP points as a penalty just like how radiation applies to your maximum health. Many other things are different as well such as no fast travel, game only saves when you sleep, all ammo has carrying weight, and many items has side effects such as stimpaks which will make your charcter thirsty and radaways will make you sleepy and vulnerable to many illnesses in the game, etc. What this does to the game is making everything way more relevant and important to give you and huge sense of accomplishment in the end.

I found myself picking up empty bottles so I can fill them up from a near by lake or water fountains inside of a building and turn them into dirty water to have something to drink later or turn them into purified water using cooking station. I found myself looking for a beds so I can save my game just in case I die and lose 30+ minutes of progress(compared to saving the game whenever you want and take advantage). Drinking Nuka Cola because my character was getting sleepy, cooking food often since uncooked or pre-war food contains high level of radiation and yields experience, Not carrying mini nukes and missiles because they're too heavy to carry. Work on many settlements and link supply lines to make "check points" around Commonwealth for convinience reasons. Picking up junks to improve your settlements and my character are some of many activities I would personally never do in a normal difficulty playthrough.

Let's talk about negative aspect of Fallout 4. Most obvious one is this false sense of choices you are given in this game. This is a huge let down to many fans including myself. Game took a step back when it comes to this aspect of the game. It doesn't give you a sense of making a difference because that previlege was taken away from you most of the time and it is going to make a big impact on the game because it's hard to swallow as a RPG game when a big part of roleplaying is been stripped away. Not to mention main story and side quests feels shallow compare to their previous titles.
Game crashes every once in a while. I know it's a huge open world game and I do expect this. But I felt frustrated when I lost about 30 mins of progress because of this.

I'm feeling mutual about Season Pass. It comes with 3 story-based dlcs, and 3 workshop contents. Once again, story was medicore at best. I was hoping at least 1 story dlc to be something funny and unfamiliar which is not directly tied to Commonwealth (Mysterious Stranger DLC anyone?) I feel like many of the workshop dlc contents in this game should of been free and came with the original game. Building settlement is not for everyone and it's time consuming just to understand the mechanics and get it exactly how you want them to be but it's fair to say they tie into the survival mode very well.

Is Fallout 4 a bad game? Not even the slightest. Yes, I do agree that it is not the best Fallout game out there, but I came to realize that it's far from a "bad" game. There is a hidden depths in this game that exceeded my expectations from the initial biased feeling I had about this title. All the familiar feelings and gameplay I had from previous Fallout games really had an impact on initial thoughts on this game which led to a premature judgement. I think it's fair to say that Fallout 4 might of taken step back on some element of this amazing RPG, I have to give credit for the Survival mode which brought me this sense of achivement in a very different way which reminded me why I loved this franchise in the first place.
