but it was worth it

LOVE THIS GAME! It gives off serious Undertale vibes with its humour (really 10/10 with lots of gaming-culture references), music, and lovingly-done art. My partner and I shared a lot of laughs with this one! The gameplay was simple and imaginitive - no two bossfights were the same, and navigating the maps never got boring. I highly recommend this and encourage the devs to keep making more like it! :)

Chloe sucks.

As a MASSIVE fan of Mafia 1, and a MASSIVE hater of Mafia 3, I rolled my eyes when I read they were making this in the news. I actually felt mad.
Go ahead and call me weird - I know 64% of you have waifus. I included that because it's a testament to how much I love the story and the characters, so you can trust me when I tell you I felt all the emotions I did when I played it the first time 10 years ago.
And it's more than that. The cutscenes, the cinematics, realistic character development, better world-building, dialogue, graphics, it's all there. We all prepared for this to be another 2020 TacoBell diarrhoea fiasco, but I'm in utter shock and disbelief with the amazing experience this game gave to me for yet another time. I'm really thankful.

Great stuff:
- Beefy character development
- Much cinematic, wow
- Graphics, beautiful]
- Realistic mafia themes and trivia introduced
- Thx 2 mocap, we can see Sam's actually in pain instead of OG Sam staring placidly at our face
- Tommy v. handsome man
- I cried lmao

Worse stuff:
- Cop AI lmao what a joke
- Camera movement lags behind a bit = dizzying & hard on combat
- Character movement animations slow and clunky
- It's not my fault I shoot bad, it's the game's fault (mouse)
- THEY CHANGED MY BELOVED VOICE ACTORS
- Driving somehow got... worse?
- They butchered Luca Bertone's side quests what
- Paulie was more realistic here, but less loveable

Extra stuff:
- Collectables lmao who cares please I just wanna feel feelings
- Sam was more confusing here. OG Sam was mysterious, but this one was weird. Realistic, sure.
- Uhh, radio...? BRO I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY'RE SAYING GET BETTER MICS FFS

Anyway, buy this game so that the company gets money and can release something better than Mafia 3 next time, please, for the love of all that is good. SUPPORT THIS COMPANY THAT BUTCHERED MY BOY, BUT FIXED IT!

Company dudes, if you're reading this: I still absolutely hate you for Mafia 3.

Hilarious, challenging, and fun. The DLCs are pretty great too.

Great movie, really carried by the characters, would 10/10 recommendo.
I do partially agree with the ending being the movie's only flaw in that it wasn't all that hollywood satisfactory, but I'm mostly happy with it. It was honest and emotional and realistic.

I was ready to finally follow through with my constant suicidal urges and put myself at rest because I realised I hadn't saved the game after my last hardcore play session.

Thankfully, however, this game has an autosave function! Praise the lord!
