Cool game with a cool dev who has a backbone

The best reminder of what Fallout could be.

A very atmospheric and relaxing collection game with rewarding progression and exploration. This is not the type of game I normally play, but I was drawn to it mostly because of the setting. I'm glad I gave it a shot.

This game is supposedly the best melee VR has to offer. Between flailing, unpredictable enemies, slow feeling weapon handling, attacks that seem to just bounce or glance off, and your weapon constantly getting stuck and glitching around, I have to say this is an extremely disappointing experience. The only way to really counteract the stated issues is to play it in constant slow motion, like the B&S youtubers do before they speed it up in a video editor to make themselves look pro.
If you're into modding and cheating and just want to have a violent power fantasy in VR, this might be an okay game for you. If you want to RP as a swordsman and expect to be able to use real techniques or be matched up against a semi-realistic opponent, I'm sorry but this isn't it. This is the best melee VR has to offer, so evidently VR is just not capable of good melee combat yet.

Boy, I should do love being forced to sign in through a third party service and dealing with constant log-in issues just to play offline.

This engine has a lot going for it and an active dev who is constantly adding to and improving it.
- 2D and 3D capabilities.
- easy to import custom tilesets and characters
- you can make completely custom stats, custom UI, custom everything.
- lots of scripting options.
- not restricted to RPG Maker's generic stats.
- an active Discord and dev.

I'm pretty inept at game dev, so there's a lot more to it that I just haven't gotten into yet.
RPGA is pretty awesome and I can see it eventually becoming the go-to RPG engine (Also it doesn't try to wring you out of $500 with asset DLCs)

About the only thing that wasn't horribly bugged was the splash screen. Right from the start, the view was off center and horribly disorienting. All I could see was about 1/4 of Skyrim and the rest was blue void. Verifying didn't help. Couldn't find anyone online with a solution. Avoid this "game' unless you want to dedicate time to fixing Bethesda's laziness.
