Early Access Review
It's a start but suffers from bugs.
Vets might grind through.
New joiners may enjoy Kerbal n challenge of it's muns.

But late game and transfer mechanics remain an exceptional challenge and barrier to entry in my opinion.

Patiently awaiting further updates.

If you like the ship build/design process and developing a space faring empire that supports some simple RTS commands.
It's all there so far. With multiplayer to boot.
Looking forward to diving into the long term game.

Just finished Mutant Year Zero... While a kinda cute roleplay experience.
Kind of a babies first turn based combat experience overall I feel.
This might be a cute game to introduce someone to games and turn based genre.

Coming from X-com series. Massive feeling of underwhelming.
From the pacing of getting around to the story and lore hints. It basically leaves all the interest in the player fantasising about what could be rather than leading up to anything.

Plot: Feels Flat. Mostly left to your imagnation.
Graphics: The highest point of the game is how good most everything looks. If you don't mind big heads.
Ui: Clean. Almost too simple. Easy to mis-click and need a save reloaded. Save/load times are fast on SSD.
Combat: Difficult. I didn't play on max difficulty which I guess has potential to... game over and reload a save.
You could lose party members and have to move forward under manned.
I suppose for someone really hardcore that is nice. I feel zero need to replay or continue with the DLC though.
There is little reward or reason to play at such a difficulty if only to maybe drag the game out if your worried about somehow speed running.

There are stealth mechanics but they're woefully weak and ineffectual. I quickly abandoned them and depended on simple Crowd Control, AOE and Deadly weapons.
My final battle was standing in the center of the map and openly picking a fight with the whole map.
Somewhat on accident but apart from taken 2 hits I basically used the above to dominate.

Baby sitter simulator on expert mode.
Forget immersion or a self maintained empire of spaceships and stations.

The station manager will ♥♥♥♥ the bed sending ships to hell and refusing to manage productions and storage evenly while favour your profits.
It's all in fill this 1 resource and burn the rest!

200 hrs in and start to get managers and stations under control?
Your miners are under constant assault!
Doesn't matter if you get the miner the size of a destroyer or babies.
They'll eventually die. incapable of defending them selves.

So you either need personal escorts for every individual or perform 120 individual commands to scouts to sweep the sector until one dies to a hidden installation.

THEN kill it with some destroyers... and then repeat in 2 more sectors because why mine ore in the same place forever? Cross half the universe for this ♥♥♥♥ in other places!

Your not making specialised fleets and and stations for the tactical/organisational benefits.
Your making it so one ship does one thing or god help you they'll spin around in place jenga tower and crash your game!

You want a miner to take his excess ore and sell it somewhere in high demand 1 sector over?
Eat dirt and die! He rather park and die then go one sector over. You need a station. and another miner ship assigned as a trader for the ore to go through one gate without you telling a MFer to get out of the captain seat and doing it your self!

If you want to sink hours of time into trying to find the ONE way to get a functional empire to work, so you can do more then stare at a map in disbelief of these god testing levels of dumb. You got your game right here!

For every level of potential espionage and sabotage pirating and straight up business and war tactics.
There are 3 or more levels of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ involved to pull off one cool trick.

Get the game and try and catch em all! The bugs that is. This game is more annoying and contaminating then bed bugs.

Each death is a reward of knowledge and a chance to get better luck and new understanding.
Each discovery is new lore and a piece of a puzzle.

And with the right mods the less luck based and fun for the whole family.
Really good though.

Played it story mode. It's cute. What little combat I saw was cute aswell.
Would not be interested in grinding or playing a harder difficulty.
Biggest frustration was after 'holy lands' it became increasing easy to get lost or mislead.
I simply become stuck wandering an area expecting progression when another region was also named 'holy land' and the actual way forward. Other regions suffered similar confusion.
Story wraps up fairly quickly otherwise and is simply cute.

Apart from suggesting it to maybe new gamers... Meh game overall.
Story/Graphics was the primary point and immediate loss of interest afterward.

Entertaining Casual Rogue Lite Feeling Game.
Go into dungeons one shoting enemies.
Save up and buy new attacks to change your go too combo.
Gets more difficult the deeper you go.
Possibly best played on mobile to kill time despite how difficult 'aiming' may be.

No updates since 2017 but I hope to see more like it in future.
