Played it with Valve Index and this is my first VR game.

This game is a polished VR fps and I guess so much ambition and potential in it for future releases. Alone, the game would be worth a 9/10 but with Valve behind it, sacrificing so much for innovation I think it deserves a perfect score. Because they make the future.

Complete and rich new way to tower defense at a ridiculous price. Prepare your base and face the waves riding your horse !

It has some classical survival horror mechanics but, man, what a great trip elsewhere, far from other productions regarding ambiance and story. Could you believe someone could ever make a "poetical tripping horror game about grief"?

Very high quality campaign, a boss and new enemies at every stage.

You better use the dlc hero and tower if you're aiming 3 stars on impossible.

I don't regret purchasing it at full price.

Mastered version of the child between Into the Breach and XCOM, with an innovative and assumed roll-back mechanic. You're done quicksaving and will never be afraid of trying anything anymore. This is really rewarding to find solutions/combos you'd never ever dreamed of.

Really pleasant to play regardless of the characters who talk too much. That said, the story is written with love, well implemented with the levels without ever taking itself seriously ever.

Massive side content too.

Short Left4Dead 3rd person action game with a random cards system and a roguelite skill tree in the South Park universe.

I took me 10h alone on hard. Game is good enough for 30 euros: I wish there was more, like 1-2 additionnal worlds - I didn't game over much so it went pretty fast. I think grinding would still be fun with friends if I had struggled reaching the end.

Tactical turn based rogue-like in a Doom universe.

They managed to give it a nice top down shooter feel. The real challenge is in positioning and finding the right skill build that will allow you to access the end boss which is, on max difficulty, quite a challenge - especially the mob are plenty and incredibly hurtful on the last levels.

The single negative I found was chapter 1 who gets really repetitive, is quite long and doesn't have gear you will stick with. Actually, you can skip it once some of the numerous new modes unlocked but I really felt I needed all the leveling I could get.

That put aside it really feels good to launch a run. You can play it casual or tryhard (difficulty settings are well made, with a great difficulty progression inside each one), it has plenty of options and even 3 classes with really different playstyles. I've spent 43 hours with this and I only sticked with the Marine (others are Scout and Tech). It is full of content, yet really polished. Bravo!

This is a rogue-lite-survivalist-zombie-top-down-shooter.

You are contaminated and the only thing keeping you alive is taking regularly some antiviral shots. You can carry only one of them at a time which makes the game more intense, while searching for fuel or other resources, running away, killing...

There are some trees where you can spend xp points or other resources to gain some edge in the current run or in general. You almost always have the choice between keeping the resources or sending them to base so you could buy upgrades or buy some gear at the beginning of a run, which is great. It makes the game whole and losing a run is not even frustrating.

The first (winning) run is the most interesting and takes quite some time. Once you complete a chapter, you'll then be able to complete it faster as the games allow you to skip levels depending on how much fuel you have in your car. After a few missed run you have enough point to prepare for a solid run and succeed all the 3-4 chapters - obviously, not at the first try.

After completing the game once, I kept playing it until I reached 57 hours on another platform. It has a good replay value though now I'd rather wait for the developer's next game! This one felt great all the way and I can't wait to have a glimpse of what is coming next.

Gigantic Souls game.

Open world structure imply many difficulties not to have this empty feeling and they managed to keep it almost as well crafted as a Dark Souls... on like 5 times the surface!

Just like Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring felt a bit easier.
