To say Taur is addictive is an understatement.

The challenge in this game lies in learning when and what to research and upgrade. Sometimes it will be immediately obvious that you're losing, and other times it will be 30+ days later in-game when the AI begins overpowering you. New players will be sent back to the drawing board and restarting their campaigns.

There are lots of different upgrade 'builds' to experiment with, and combat is very engaging and fun.

With that all in mind, the game is slightly overpriced. If you really enjoyed old school TD games, go for it.

Another 1st person medieval action game which attempts to aim for build realism while simultaneously mixing in unrealistic and bad combat mechanics.

Having played Chivalry once upon a time ago I was intrigued and decided to give this one a try. I deeply regret it.

If your curiousity is too stronk, buy it on supersale to minimize disappointment.

Game breaking and poorly thought out.

If you bought this as part of a pack, it's highly recommended that you uninstall it.

The DLC introduces several OP boss enemies. After completing the initial mission of this DLC, you may randomly encounter these bosses on missions. The rub is that they get 'legendary reactions,' which is to say they get a turn in combat after every single thing you do. Having experienced this in both the early and late game, I can tell you this is the exact opposite of fun.

There is challenging, and then there is breaking the action economy of the game to artificially create difficulty. Prepare for dead squad members.

The hassle is not worth the limited rewards.

DO NOT BUY, and if you bought it as part of a pack, uninstall it ASAP.

Pros

- Fantastic, satisfying combat.
- As of the recent update, a challenging amount of difficulty.
- Lots of stuff to do and places to explore.

Cons

- Upgrades are too few and not super interesting.
- The world doesn't have enough variety; in enemies, weapons, monsters, etc.
- Most of the sandbox missions you can complete are mostly the same. Kill stuff, find stuff, blow stuff up.
- The AI isn't that great. If you're outnumbered things can get hairy, but otherwise the enemies are basically trying to get themselves killed.
- Vehicle combat basically never happens because enemies don't try to chase you, like they did in the first RAGE game.
- You can drive any vehicle in the game, BUT most of them suck and can't be upgraded. It would have been cool to upgrade post-apocalyptic vehicles and put guns on them, but that's one of a few huge voids that were left in the game by the devs.

::::BUT::::

This game was definitely worth the $40 I paid for it on sale. The $80(CAD) price tag it currently has it kind of steep, but if you have the cash to spare I can guarantee that you'll get lots of play time out of it.

::::DLC::::

A paid DLC is coming in the future which promises to remedy some of the forementioned issues, but you'll basically be paying the devs more money to fix the flawed base game.

TL;DR Definitely buy this game on sale, but if you choose to pay full price you'll still get lots of enjoyment out of it, just not $80 worth.

Pros:
- Runs fantastic.
- Nice graphics.
- Fun gameplay.

Cons:
- Devs intentionally removed the ability to stomp zombies.

- Stealth is a mechanic, but you can't sneak attack zombies in any way (not even with a knife). Ontop of that, you can't hurt zombies which you know are playing dead if they haven't been 'activated' by the game's scripting.

- Zombies can be ridiculously resilient, even on normal. It doesn't matter where you hit zombies, it seems to be a mix of RNG and predetermined health. Effectively, even if you have precise aim and get all dome shots (with a 9mm), you are punished for going out of your way to kill zombies. In a Resident Evil game. This is part of a trend of artificial difficulty that's been woven into Resident Evil 2. Choosing not to kill zombies isn't a matter of stealth or danger, but resource consumption, which can make combat unsatisfying after a while. There is zero reward for playing well, unless you're actively trying to kill as few zombies as possible. Surprisingly, people who buy zombie games want to do the opposite!

- Some zombies will be activated by in-game triggers regardless of how stealthy you are, and you'll most likely be forced to waste resources anyway.

- What makes all of this extra frustrating is that the game has been designed so that you can only kill zombies with bullets (knives are a precious commodity that save you from being bitten).

This game is objectively good, regardless of it's flaws, so I'm forced to recommend it.

A fantastic mix of soulslike and metroidvania gameplay. I love pretty much everything about this game, except the combat and equipment mechanics, which aren't quite up to par with comparable titles like Salt & Sanctuary.

If Unworthy had a few more weapons, broader movesets, and it made off-hand shields an independent option (for appropriate weapons), I would call it perfect.

One of the most accurate ways to describe this game is emotionally provocative. It's truly an amazing, story-centric game, which manages to stay interesting while providing a pretty decent combat experience at the same time.

If you like games that move you, Hellblade will punch you in the gut of your feels.

Great gameplay, great art style, great music. It will seem difficult until you experience NG+, then you realize that your first playthrough was a cakewalk. The game has it's limitations, but as an indie game it's more than worth the price and I'd definitely recommend it. HLD2 pl0x

Zombie Night Terror (ZNT) is a lemmings styled, pixel art zombie game. At it's heart ZNT is a puzzle game with strategy elements, the idea being to accomplish the level's main and bonus objectives (though you'll probably end up trying to infect everyone and lose as few zombies as possible, which is fun and challenging). The level designs are varied and interesting, giving the player different ways to complete them, and the artwork and music are spot on. For the price this game is definitely worth it.
