I preordered with full expectation of disappointment. I was not disappointed. I'm going to mention just the issues unique to Starfield as it, for the most part, also suffers from all the problems as the rest of their games.

• Like No Man's Sky--who cares about how many planets you can go to if they're all boring af.
  
• Compared to Fallout 4, the companions are extremely bland. I felt nothing for any of them. I had more investment in the buildable robot followers from Automaton.
  
• Most quests seem to have been written in isolation and some badly fit in with actual game mechanics. Hell, most everything in this game seems to have been created in isolation.
  
• Laziness everywhere: take Sam Coe to his birth planet and he'll say, "I've scanned a place like this before..." Take Barrett to New Atlantis and he'll say, "alien life is really fascinating." Find random quests generating in mismatched biomes\planets.
  
• Romance dialog is super cringe. They would have done better scrapping fanfic sites.

The most entertaining part of Starfield, to date, is the Steam forums.

I didn't think I'd like it but I was wrong. I am usually wrong about things, though.

Fun, satisfying game. I barely ever write reviews, but this gem deserves it. Very fun for couch coop.

I ran into an issue where my tv-connected computer wasn't able to display the game correctly. I posted on the forum, the dev replied, and a few days later there was an update that fixed the issue. Amazing!

More fun than I ever imagined! The game mechanics outshine any technical issues. I'm always apprehensive about buying new games, but I'm glad I bought this one. The only thing this game is missing is team combo moves (ala Chrono Trigger).

No problems running it under Windows 10 64-bit.

Edit: I hope the author is thinking about a different platform. Flash makes me cringe. What about a remastered version with all 4 games? I would give you money.
