Very good spin on the city builder genre. The rougelite elements give it a big boost in replayability!

I love this game! I bought this when it was first released many years ago and played it for many hours, when I saw it on steam I had no hesitation about buying it again! It's a fun game and it's been great to play it again!

The game is about you starting your own gaming company, you start out in your garage and work your way up to a big gaming company following the rise and falls of the consoles through the years. It's a great feeling when you get your first perfect review, and a punch in the gut when you get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ one!

Save your money, the dev has abandoned the game and it has gamebreaking bugs.

Now we finally got the long awaited 1.0 release with the big switch to Unreal Engine 5, and i still sit with the feeling that this game could be so much more. It could be that I hyped up the 1.0 in my head too much and was therefore unreasonably dissapointed that it looked exactly the same as it did when I last played it. The only upgraded visuals i noticed were the sunrays at dawn.
The upside is that the performance is noticably better, at least when it comes to number of animals on the farm. If you dare to try farming the game slows right down when you go to harvest.
When it comes to farming it feels like it's just tacked on and not really thought out enough. It's really annoying to cultivate, plant and harvest with the vehicle physics being what they are, wheat is really not worth it to grow as feed for your animals, since when you get to the point where you have granaries on your farm then money is not really an obstacle anymore. The sunflowers look nice so I just plant them and let them stay there, not sure if they wilt after a time or not and if the do I'm not replanting.
The world still feels kind of empty, there are at least random cars and campers on the road now, but the game is still completely dead silent, there is no ambient sound unless it rains. And right now the radio is broken but that is a known issue and will hopefully be taken care of.

Like I stated in my original review below playing multiplayer really helps out with the pacing in the day, Playing this time around with my gf we could pretty quickly grow our farm to the point where we had everything and more money than we knew what to do with. It would happen fairly often that her game just shut down so there is obviously still kinks to work out in the multiplayer.
What the game lacks now is replayability, I want the ability to decorate my farm, especially I want paths and roads to layout my farm better.

That was a lot of negativity, and while i keep my Thumbs Down, I want to press the fact that the devs are very much active, the game will improve and I will definitely come back to it again after a while!

All in all I really like this game and once the kinks are worked out I can see myself sinking many more hours in it, but in it's current state I cannot recommend it, I would however watch out for updates, because there is a lot of potential and the devs do seem to listen to the community!(the snow was a mistake)!

cons :
- The optimization is pretty bad, if you have 10+ animals there is quite a bit of lag.
- The vehicles handle bad, and they really like to flip over, which can be quite amusing, but ultimatley annoying.
- The world is empty, there are a few building spread around the map, but they are empty and dead. In a hunting cabin in the mountain there's a man sitting with two guns, I assume in an update he will say something or be useful for something?
- There is very little to no sound
-Getting water from the well is really really annoying, there is a perfectly good sink in the house, why can't we use that?
- You can build your own house, which is cool, but there is no furniture so there isn't much point in building it
- The barn only has one big door and you can't build a wide one so if you put stalls in them it becomes very cramped

pros:

- The animals are well made, and the babies are very cute!
- The pacing of the day is good, I only played miltiplayer though and I can see there being to little time in the day when you have to do everything yourself.
- Character customization is good and have a lot of options
- You can color your cars pretty much any color you want

TL;DR : If you like banished-style survival sims, then you will like this game!! Go buy it!

As a huge fan of banished I was very excited for this game! And so far it has really delivered. It is easy to understand, but there is also a lot of small factors to account for and the expanded on a lot of the mechanics from banished. There a lot of new materials and resources, and they work with each other to advance your town in a way that makes it very realistic.
I've just played one town yet and It's gone pretty good on a small easy map, some things aren't as intuitive but you can look up where to get all the different things in the help menu in game.

If you like chill, stress free games then this game will keep you entertained for hours and hours!
You buy a house, clean it, decorate it then move in or sell it. repeat!

This is a really nice little puzzlegame :) not really difficult, I got a bit stuck at some points but it was never frustrating.

worst game I ever played

As one who have played the original flash game for more hours than I dare admit, naturally I have been hype for this game since I came across it when it first got on greenlight and was very excited when I saw it pop up on the steam front page.

I was dissapointed, I got in the game and started digging, and the digging felt weigthless, the blocks just disappeared as with the old one you could see that you were digging through the blocks. And when I went to get upgrades there were no tooltips, no flavor text, only generic names and a set of boxes for each upgrade. It just felt empty.
Also the world feels too bright, this might just be an effect of playing on a high resolution, but it kind of ruins the atmosphere for me.

Other than that, They did a good job with the music and the fact that you can co-op (even though it's only local right now) is sure to be a big plus if you happen to have someone to play it with.

This saddens me, and I hope in the future they will do something to the game to make me want to give it another shot because it's such a good game and I know they can do better than this.
