Fantastic game set in the Ptolemaic Egypt. Wonderful World and attention to detail (wet clothes, footprints, dust while climbing etc.) which were not continued by the successors. Main Story was not so engaging for me and my save file got corrupted at the end in the 2nd DLC, and I don't want to play it again just to finish the DLC. But I did all Locations and all Main + Side quests up to that point with the "Shadya" Quest being the emotional Highlight. Also don't discount the discovery tour to enhance your Trivia Knowledge about that time. Solid 8,5/10 overall.

It's OK for such an unknown indie title.

Short and great visual musical novel. The songs are more on the melancholic side.

A beautiful game about having patience. Technically a Metroidvania-esque-literal-Walking-and-waiting Simulator. With secrets.

As someone who still knows the BG1 starting area by heart and what is in which container in Candlekeep, this is my game.

Just to put it in perspective: I played 52h now and I have NOT made it past the Druid Camp... Why? Because I restarted the game 17 times with new characters. Trying out what I like before I commit. But this has shown me how great this game will be. I would say on 12 out of these 17 times I encountered something new like a hidden chest or something was different in NPC reactions or Dialog options changed and appeared. The game is super adaptive to the player character.

Simple example: Before waking up Shadowheart on the beach, I went to my camp to access the chest. I come back and she is gone. Now I can encounter her in several other spots, either at the door down the beach or in the Druid Camp where I actually needed to persuade her to come with me since I had Laezel. Otherwise she would've not come.

Give into the RPG and trust that choices matter. It's great gameplay and graphics wise but has still some bugs, even at the beginning like animation or textures.

Also pick "Speak with Animals" to enhance your playthrough significantly.

Most important: You can pet a dog and you can pet a cat.

"Oh hey the Demon Mother is upon us... but maybe lets first go to our weekly book club and discuss a book and why Blade has a secret crush on Captain America which is like giggle giggle high school fan fic writing bad and afterwards I might go fishing with Wolverine or Bird Watching with Iron Man...or chilling in the pool lounge with Magik cause I bought her a new swimsuit... but yeah, we should get on that world-ending threat really soon...but I really need that elegant picture frame for my customizable room I cannot interact with... yeah... so... oh a Birthday party yuhu"

Really annoying negative are the several in-game currencies for a pure single player game which frustrate sometimes if you have a lack of a specific one. I still like the game enough for what it is, can't wait for Deadpool in the DLC. I you like Riverdale-Style Drama interspersed with tactical card-based combat on repeated maps and figuring out builds and teams... you'll have fun - but wait for a sale.

Super fun for the price - looking forward for new updates.

I do enjoy the game. You can venture into the wooded mountains and get lost while gathering berries, fending off wolves and mining ore. I will wait for patches, server increase, stability or server merges and more feedback about mid-to late content. So far only PVP sticks out as interesting. But if you like PVP and Crafting, you should give it a try.

Negatives: I had to create a new character 4 times since the servers I choose had 800-5000 people in the queue. I can wait once 45+min for a game to start... but I not every single time.
Besides that, the Story is barely existent, the character models look all the same, the character generator is a joke and there are some bugs and issues. Also some servers are already a bit toxic, racist and just internet personified.
Positives: Crafting system is great and fun but gathering can take a super long time. The setting is great and the exploration aspect makes you wanna go and live in the woods. I also like that there are no vendors and its mostly player economy but that can also backfire.
