It's got kind of an odd story line, and everything has an air of mystery about it--I think this makes it really engaging. Combat is fun, but can be super hard / impossible at times. There are multiple gameplay options that allow you to customize your version of "easy", which makes it great for all types of people regardless of ability. Also they've linked this into the world built in other games, so if you've played some of the other titles you will recognize some things.

The controls are designed exclusively for a controller, so every action is clunky and unintuitive. Tried to enjoy it, but every time I tried playing it reminded me why it's not fun.

Buy it on sale, but otherwise... meh. The story is fairly interesting, and the graphics are really good. However, the gameplay is inconsistent. "Special" events are scripted, there's no element of randomness; and the last boss fight changes the gameplay considerably so that you are unprepared for it by the end. I don't feel like it delivered strongly.

Nice basic survival game with Norse lore. Active modding community!

This is the AAA quality XXX game you've been looking for. Even as pre-alpha (0.3.19 as of this writing), I can already see it is a good game, and has great potential. Devs are working on adding new content and fixes. This is very Conanesque; you WILL die a lot until you can get the Weaponsmith to craft upgrades to your sword. The storyline is engaging, and the world/characters are fairly believable in the context of the world being built; I look forward to future updates.

Let's be real: It looks like a high-quality Unity demo. But forget about terrain collision and ambient lighting for a bit; you're here for the sex. The character development is pretty decent, and I love the whole "goddess of lust" concept. Mia Sloane's voice just knocks it out of the park, too. I hope the devs continue this kind of game; would be great to have something with more polish, more complex game systems, and real-time combat.

"Skyrim with Guns" doesn't begin to describe it. It has a vast array of different sub-genre stories, companions, etc... Truly one of the best games ever made, for so many reasons. Mod support still going strong years after release.

The single player/story mode stuff is well written and plays good. Multi-player is OK when someone isn't ruining the game by hacking. It's hard to play space battles as people have some weird aversion to them; maybe it's because their hacks don't work, idk. Any game aside from coop is pretty unplayable except on the weekend. Overall, I'd recommend against it more than for it, if you're looking for a new thing to sink into.

The island is full of psychopaths with every kink imaginable, there's no "normal" people who just want to have a good time and be friends. Everybody is a stereotype, and I just can't connect with the characters/story. Maybe it'd be better if you're familiar with or into Japanese culture, but I just don't enjoy it.

Liked this even LESS than the original Alan Wake. Creative liberty went off the deep end here, and it's just not interesting as a story.
