Well, the game has been a good experience so far. I really want a third option on steam for 'recommendation' but I guess I have to go with this for now it seems.

The good:
- Good presentation: The graphics do the job of looking and feeling good. This is not a phenomenal looking game or whatever but the graphics are good and get the job done pretty well. The game is really atmospheric and does set up an abandoned and a horror tone for the setting.
- Sound design: The sound design for this game is quite terrifying at times and does a perfect job to keep you on your toes.

The bad:
- Nonsensical character design changes: The new era of 'progressiveness' and 'modern' content has ruined the character designs of few of the characters that were presented well in the original. If you remake a game, be faithful to the original content. You can shove all your modern nonsense in new IPs you want so that I can stay away from them, don't ruin the existing ones.
- Performance issues: The game had frequent crashes and minor FPS issues. But a patch or two can handle them very quickly.
- combat: Albeit clunky, the combat could have been a bit smoother but this is just me being nit picky here. Just a personal preference that's all.

I have played this game on console, tried the PC version out for RT but crashes have held me back for now.
Overall a good game from the dev team. But this entry does pose a red flag for all the nonsensical DEI implementation in the future products/remakes to come, so be warned about it.

A good port of an absolutely wonderful playstation exclusive title. Played the first one on my ps4 and I am more than happy to play the sequel again on PC. There are some audio issues but I guess this problem persists in the decima game engine as I have suffered similar problems on PS5 and PS4 for the first part. The video game presentation and the visual effects are absolutely stunning. The story is predictable but the voice acting and the character facial animations keep me hooked and entertained. I guess a little less dialogues might be better but just my personal opinion.

9/10 - A wonderful journey

Was excited for this release after experiencing capcom's recent releases but was a bit disappointed in the end. The game has some weird optimisation issues, as my RTX 3080 Ti was not able to hold a stable 60 FPS on the high preset (FPS dipped below 30 frequently) with DLSS set to Quality/balanced (1080p resolution). The game had a rather slow/less energetic opening and I was bored to continue further. There was a lot of info dump on the player right from the start(It is my own personal problem as I often get disoriented when too much information is presented right from the start) and the UI has a lot of screen clutter. Perhaps this game is not for me, but I am also against some unnecessary micro transaction practices on display here. Overall my main reason to refund this game is bad optimisation, an absurdly abnormal single save file option at the beginning and a boring introduction that failed to entice me and keep playing the game any further.
