Still better then MO2 even with nobody playing.

this game is clearly only popular cause of extremely good advertising.

sometimes you just get sent to 30 unbalanced losses in a row, there is no other game modes just kinda the same thing and a huge grind. and you cant choose map. cant think of any other game that gives you no map choice and then punishes you for not playing- if you get sent to one you dont like and leave you cant use the crew for 10 min lol

ps just gave the game one more chance w air battles, only did one round, chasing some guy and he just disappears out of existence idk why must have quantum technology. lost all my altitude and speed cause of that and died. this game sucks

Being an avid solo backpacker irl some things about the Game really triggered me at first. Once you get the Old Pot SW corner of map, you can play the game.

That said it is really difficult and in its own way feels much like trying to survive in the wild. So far I've spent most my time just trying to survive, most often when I try to explore I end up barely surviving several nights away from my home base. I'm not sure what the %$#@ is going on here yet but I feel like I landed on the island of Dr Moreau or worse.

A whole book could be written why MO2 is terrible compared to MO1 so I will summarize the main reasons I am not playing.

MO2 is not the hardcore philosophy MMO that MO1 was created to be. MO1 was a niche game for a no-rules environment and full-loss of items on death. MO2 is not that game in any respect, this time around they tried to make something more consumable to the masses and it shows at every turn.

Map is too big and only one character allowed, you spend all your time making parcel runs or just trying to travel for content. To make things worse even though its a higher quality visual engine the game somehow is visually much less appealing then MO1 and just becomes really difficult to look at.

The combat system is extremely slow and the metas are ridiculously unbalanced. Siege and TC system was implemented horribly to both PVE and PVP style players. Exploiting and hacking is just as bad as MO1 and the economy has been permanently trashed, due to Starvaults continuous inability to secure its servers. New content is rushed half thought out then they move on to new content without addressing problems.

This is just all the grave issues that came to mind in the 5 minutes I wrote this review. MO2 seems to exist only on Hype and the hope it will get good; not because its so fun to play. I tried giving it another chance on TC release, but after repeated disappointments its clear this will never be a game I want to play.

This should be called DEMO, not ALPHA. So big thumbs down right off the bat for abusing the steam store to get their Demo on the main game page and mislead people. This is an advertisement to get the real game, not an alpha test, 3/4 the game features are disabled as 'not available in Alpha' , including the ability to Save!!

I did play through the entirety of this game Demo anyway, so quick review. It's programmed well, addictive initially, but does not have lasting playability. I get the feel of good old Maxis or Sid Meier , but greatly stripped down to a more consumable version that would run on a cell phone and get boring after 1-2 days.

There is no difficulty setting, or much difficulty to win at all. I was able to just rebuild through the dumb pirate attacks and make money pretty easily, mainly because there is very little cost in maintenance, disasters, taxes, etc you just make money and stack it up and buy upgrades. I think this game had potential at one point, it's too bad it's not an actual alpha and no feedback can be submitted for improvements or better game direction.

Amazing game but have to give it a fiercely negative review as it continuously crashes to desktop. Is nothing wrong with my PC, all other games work fine, and many many other people are having the same issue. Don't waste your time on this product, or anything from Bethesda for that matter.

In order to get the unofficial community bugfix , you have to download it through bethesda (um.. what?) and additionally must buy all 6 DLCs to use the bugfix patch. Basically game is a sham once you buy it you have to spend more, normal Bethesda scamming. If you dig around the net you can find the older version of the unofficial bug fix, which might fix the random CTD so many people are having right now. That is not something I expect to have to do on a 30$ game, shame on Bethesda, yet again.
