This video game is only half good. Half of it is the running part, which is the good. The other half is the Light Cycle. Whoever designed that portion of the video game was wrong. Dead wrong. You go in one direction and there is no sudden cornering, all you do is get to little markers that give you more time on the clock. I wouldn't recommend this video game unless it was half off. That way you are ONLY paying for the half that is good.

Exactly. I can understand this "timed" feature during the driving portion, however without the very characteristic 90 degree turns, it is just a forward motion with no true Tron feel.

You know... I kinda like your idea Denny. I've been at this game for many hours now and really enjoy it as is, but the idea of having obstacles that would require you to make instant sharp turns (before hitting a wall barrier, etc), would have been a nice touch and quite possibly very challenging.

Tron Legacy: the video game is what I meant. There the sudden cornering or 90 degree turns are featured and used and fun. The link you gave doesn't show those bikes can't do it, but just that no one is featuring that anymore.

IIRC. the 90 degrees turn that literally was a corner turn is not featured in Tron: Legacy. If you're thinking the sharp turns that happened, say, in Armagetron or glTron, those were only possible with early light cycles. Since, in Tron: Runner, you can choose between all the generations (if you own the DLC), the turning model is the same latest cycles use, meaning soft turns.
Tho I agree fighting mode in an arena would have been much more fun, the turn system isn't wrong.

Son, "sudden cornering" is when I refer to those 90 degree turns made, suddenly. I just want to make sure we are on the same page first. It was able to happen in all the Tron cycles, Tron 2.0 and Tron Legacy. The fact that this video game does NOT incorporate the sudden turning is a missed opportunity but would not be able to fix that the Light Cycle portion of this video game is severly lacking. And to reiterate makes up half this video game.

Sudden cornering only happened with the first generations lightcycles - and in the arena. As seen in Tron: Legacy, more recent lightcycles do not feaure cockpits and are able to turn normally even when fighting.
