This is an odd one. It's really hard and unfair at times but I keep coming back. It is quite immersive when you are not screaming at your computer. I'm not sure I can recomend it. It seems to me this is one of those aquired taste games. The frustration to fun ratio isn't quite right. It is more of an experience than fun.

Wow. I Just booked two days off work for this. It is currenty 5:30am and I am too tired to play after being unable to put the game down. One word: immersion. I got lost in this game for hours. This is looking to be an instant classic.

The focus is on exploration, tech decisions and diplomacy via an allignment system. I highly recomend for any 4x fans. The new MOO does not compare to this. This is something special. It reminds me of SOTS + Stars + Civ. BUy, BUy, BUy.

I've put 20 hours into this game (with DLC) in two days so it must be good. It has some issues with dialogue boxes occasionly locking you in game but other than that it's great.

Diplomacy actualy works in this game it is kind of amazing. You can have a stable empire for ages if you keep your neighbours happy. Research is a vaste endevour and balancing the books is quite hard. Command points for ships are hard to come by so feilding a mega fleet takes time.

I recomend this game. I've put more time in this than the new MOO and I think that says something.

This game is for genre fans only. It is not as terrible as it is made out to be. The music is really good and the game is interesting but a little clunky. There are some annoying bugs (Pirates attack you but you can't retaliate it you have a peace / submission treaty with them) but it is stable.

I can't see myself spending hundreds of hours in this one. I think this will be a once in a blue moon game to keep things interesting. I got it on sale for £5 quid. It's decent value at that price.

I never played the original series so I can't relate to the complaints of this being dumbed down. It is pretty standard stuff. The quality of the music, sfx and art direction is very good.

A great game. Lots of fresh content. I cannot wait for the DLC. I pre-ordered this because I loved the first one so much and even though it hurt my wallet it was worth it.

I only recomend this game to 4x space genre super fans. The game attempts to use very different mechanics than is usual. It does not quite work and can get boring after you work out what the hell is going on. I like it because it is fresh and very different to the other games in my collection. Get it on sale. Expect maybe 8 hours of gamplay before you put it down.

This is not FO1 or NV. It is a very big fun game. The weapon and armour system takes some getting used to and the settlement system can be annoying at times, but despite the crashes and loading times I have sunk quite a few hours into this. If you are looking for that classic feeling you wil be disapointed. Any old school fan (like me) should leave expectations at the door and take the game on its own merits.

This is a good game. It deffo has the syndicate feel to it. Haxing ATMs and researching plasma mini guns :)

This game is very fun. I bought this without expecting much (I'm a 4x addict) and this is now one of my favourite games. Highly immersive. A tech system that has a sense of adventure (you have to aquire alien techs from exploration and from scavenging parts of ships you destroy, plus trade).

I can't sing enough praises. I've just taken a quick break from an all day sesion and now I'm going back in.
