This is an okay game.

Story tries too hard to be funny early on but ultimately fails to elicit many laughs, the loot is, despite advertisements, the same few guns that perform more or less the same regardless at what level you find them, maybe with few more bullets in the clip or slightly faster reload or few more points of damage on it and after a while the excitement fades away and looting just becomes this routine thing you do between the running and gunning because you've already seen the guns game has to offer so there's nothing to really look forward to anymore.

Game does offer several classes for you to play but the differences there too are negligible, with one guy tossing out a turret, another creating a decoy with skill trees being mostly passive % bonuses to damage, reload, accuracy and whathaveyou so it all kinda blends together in the end.

All in all, not really a game i can recommend as i was bored from the start, by the story, by the tryhard jokes, by the unimaginative loot and especially by the boring skill trees (cos leveling up and getting 5% more accuracy when you invest that skill point is totally awesome!) which just make the whole thing a tiresome slog to get through since what you see during the first hour is what you gonna get for the rest of the ride and for some of you that seems to be enough, but i want and expect more from my games!

This is not a bad game.

There's a good amount of content to keep one entertained while leveling, even the dark zone feel exciting and once the level cap is reached, few more things open up that one can run for loot.

However, it's just more of the same, the loot never changes, so it's the same guns, the same armor, the same enemies with lazy approach to difficulty as the mechanics never change, all enemies just become ridiculously tanky and start to deal stupefying amounts of damage because that is game balance, apparently.

That being said, leveling is fun and can take a while if you're the type that enjoys the journey more than the destination.. the endgame not so much, which in a looter shooter is not a good thing, there are also hackers and RMT spammers to make things annoying.

All in all, get this when it's on sale.. a DEEP sale, base game + underground, the pvp centric modes are dead/filled with hackers making them waste of money/time and effort.

Oh and screw Ubi$oft and Epic Store!

! WARNING !

This game suffers from severe issues on newer systems that prevent it from launching and if you manage to start it via workarounds (bat file to force the game to use only single core), most of the in game audio is missing (though that can supposedly be fixed with an non-official sound patch that lurks somewhere in the depths of the internet), making the game a colossal pain to sort out before it'll run in satisfactory manner and as such, cannot in good conscience recommend this game to anyone in it's current state.

*****

Behind the issues hides a very solid third person action thriller, with old school gameplay and quality voice acting, a story about a New York detective trying to avenge the murder of his family.

Game itself can be clunky and the graphics/character models campy, but as said, past all that is a game well worth playing!

I initially gave Warframe thumbs down on the account that my first impressions were based on an (much) older version of the game and upon returning and being given the same old tools i've already played with and maxed out.. well i wasn't impressed.

That said, getting past the early hump and being able to acquire new weaponry (and warframes, of course) really does make the game more enjoyable, especially when you come across that good primary/secondary/melee weapon that you really end up liking and then start to mod so it becomes a lethal instrument of destruction.

Yeah, the game isn't half bad at all if you can get past the early drag and grind.

And yes, the game still has it's issues.. as it can be grindy, as be it blueprints, materials, weapon parts you'll always be looking for something so you can craft that next thing for more affinity and then there are the maps and while there are differences between planets (snow and ice vs arid deserts, for an example), the repetition is still there as despite variances, most maps still end up feeling familiar all too quickly for comfort.

Bugs and glitches aside, don't really have issues with Warframe outside of the need to grind for pretty much anything and everything which gets dull in the long run but with a friend or two even that doesn't annoy as badly!

So if you like (scifi) shooters, Warframe is worth a shot.. it might not be the bestest thing ever created, but for a free to play co-op game, it's really not that bad! :D

The game where blindly running around and spamming buttons gets you absolutely nowhere.

Lordran, a world where you can go almost anywhere at anytime you choose.. assuming of course you don't get killed by the various enemies and bosses.

There are enough weapons, armor, spells, miracles and pyromancies to satisfy all playstyles.. but remember, hacking away and hoping for results is the quickest way to the grave, so be mindful, pay attention and learn from the mistakes you make and you will end up defeating even the mighty Gwyn, Lord of Cinder in the end!

(Controller while not needed is highly recommended for this game.. so pick one up and avoid the frustration of clunky keyboard & mouse controls!)

Guns, zombies, plots to destroy the world, monsters the size of a small house and more.. Resident Evil 6 delivers on multiple fronts.. sure, the game may be flawed and have it's share of issues but at the end of the day, it's still fun, entertaining, has a ton of content and it even looks nice too.

So what more can you honestly ask for?

The co-op is fun, the various gamemodes will keep the player entertained and what's more, the AI can no longer end the game for you by getting itself killed, like in RE5 meaning even solo play is perfectly viable this time around.

As for the downsides.. well, the biggest flaw in my opinion is that only one campaign is centered around survival horror a la old school Resident Evil zombies, with others being more geared towards run & gun gameplay.

But that's a small flaw in an otherwise solid package.. there's plenty of action to go around, so if you like zombies, monsters, good co-op fun then pick up your copy of Resident Evil 6 today!

EDIT: Paid mods have for now been removed from the game and as such, i can recommend the purchase of Skyrim again.

Skyrim, the finest Elder Scrolls game to date.

You can go anywhere, do (almost) anything, whenever you feel like it.. caves, dungeons, tombs, lairs.. so much to discover, with multitude of enemies to vanquish.

Be a fighter, mage, thief.. or maybe a sneaky hybrid, a caster who uses illusion spells and strikes from the shadows.. an archer who is not afraid to wade into melee range when needed.. all paths are very much viable.

If you are a fan of roleplaying games, Skyrim will keep you entertained for countless hours as there is always something to do, some new place to discover, some new loot to find.. and thanks to mods, all that is multiplied, making the game a worthy purchase indeed!

Great game, especially when played with others.. infact with full four people, Borderlands becomes truly fun with bullets, grenades and bodyparts flying all over.

Really a must buy for those who like co-op games and shooters.

EDITED TO ADD:

That was then, games have evolved since those days and looking back, the game is okay with friends, solo it's just kinda stupid and dull with the core gameplay/reward loop being various shades of the same old you've seen from the start, just with incrementally higher stats on your guns which in this day and age just doesn't cut it.
