If you are looking for a smash bros on PC this is really not it. Since it's free you might aswell look at it yourself but you'll quickly notice that the base gameplay is nothing like Smash Bros and not in a good way.
Everything is kind of floaty, feels shallow and most of the time you seem to be beating on eachother without much meaning to it.

Short:
A greally great and fun experience. A rather unique take on the MOBA genre and a really well done adaption of XCOM style gameplay.


More details:
The game has you take controll of one of various characters who are generally split into three roles: Firepower, Frontline, Support

The games are pretty quick. Each match has 20 rounds where either team tries to be the first to rack up 5 kills or simply more than the enemy by the end of the 20 rounds.

Each round has 3 phases: Preperation, Tricks and Attack.

In preperation the characters use their shielding and healing abilities while during the Trick phase dashes, teleports and other utility abilities that generally have high cooldown are used.
The attack phase is kinda self explanatory, hell unleashes allover the place with most characters having AOE abilities.

Overall the mixture is really fun, gets you kind of a chess feeling each round as you try to both do as much as you can this round while anticipating the enemys next step and making plans to have as much impact on the next one as you can.

Great Fighter even for beginners.

A great cast of very distinct and yet interesting characters makes this easy to pick up for pretty much everyone.

Since I am taking this from the perspective of someone who is not very versed in Fighters I can not really rate the input specific kinks.


Even though the recent practices are pretty controversial you got to admit it was bound to happen one day with E-Sports getting closer and closer to real Sports.
Could you imagine football without the banners on the side? Any racing sport? Obviously not.
So having ads in game is a pretty big deal for e-sports.

Cannot recommend this so far for two reasons:

1. The Cutscenes have caused crashes across all kinds of systems low to high spec and the devs only fix to it is for you to disable cutscenes alltogether. What is this 2001?
2. Dev promissed Coop and after releasing an overpriced DLC for their overpriced Season Pass it still is not included.

Conclusion: Dev does not give a damn, stay clear of this game.

Update:
Alright so since installing what felt like a dozend codec packs somehow got me to at least being able to watch the cinematics albeit having to wait about 5-10 minutes for them to start I could finally play this game and can now tell you more about it.

Is it any good?
Well yes and no. The first two points do still stand which is why I decided to update instead of writing an entirely new review.



Combat:

Good:
- is pretty nice and tactical and usually keeps you on your toes
- has a lot less "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!" scream inducing moments than lets say XCOM
- Great customizability of difficulty. You can costumize both the campaign and the combat difficulty. So you can let's say make combat tough as nails and extremely unforgiving but make the payout really good. Or make combat super easy and keep payout good if you find the game too hard.

Neutral:
- the beginning is tough as nails if half your Mech Bay is filled with Mechs that need repairing and you are about to run out of funds
- Kinda imballanced across Mech archetypes. youll usually go bigger = better.

Story:

Neutral:
- Exists
- Kinda boring battle between hierarchys yada yada

Update 2:
The second DLC has been released and it again only adds about as much content as you can get anywhere else for a 5$ DLC or simply a newbie Mod. Yes a newbie Mod. Not even close to comparing to Battletech Extended 3025 Mod. You expect DLC like THAT? Look elsewhere. The Season Pass aswell as the DLC individually are EA level expensive and add nothing much to the game. You get 2 Mechs and some gimicky modes or 1-2 maps that are simply revamped a few times (dont dare to revamp them too often though ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥)

Other Things to consider:

Currently there are games like Mutant Year Zero and Divinity Original Sin 2 that surpass this game in terms of Strategical Turn Based Squad Combat gameplay. They both have better and more solidly told Stories, Divinity OS2 has way superior combat options as well as class diversity. They simply give you way more bang for the buck aswell so if you arent specifically hooked on Mechs you'd probably be better of with those two first.

Secondly I am still really bummed about the price of both the DLC and the Season Pass of this game. You are not EA Hairbrained and you got financed by a Kickstarter, way to give back to the community. After the second DLC their policy seems to stay the same and thus the other two games mentioned outclass this one by MILES both in gameplay and in case of bang for the Buck they only get better with each "DLC" Battletech releases.

Good game that really tests your nerves. You'll have to grind for quite some time to consistently beat people who just spam the incredibly damaging autocombos (spaming one of the attack buttons)

Other than that it looks amazing and is a lot of fun if you dont get stomped 24/7 :P

Also be weary of the rather poor controller support. It basically only supports XBox controllers and fightsticks which are able to emulate those in some way. Other than that youll have to go through tedious means to get them to work.

Ein super Spacesim für alle die über den initialen Flash hinweg kommen.

Initial scheint das Spiel echt überwältigend, eine Einführung gibt es so gut wie nicht und zudem gibt es für jedwede Aktion des Schiffes einen Knopf der auch nicht unbedingt belegt ist.

Man ist also gut beraten einfach mal durch die Einstellung zu gehen und zu kucken was man da alles gebrauchen könnte.

Was die Steuerung allgemein angeht:

Tastatur:
Ist gewöhnungsbedürftig aber durchaus machbar. Man kann das spiel so spielen wenn man möchte.

Joystick:
Ist intuitiver, einziges Manko ist das selbst ein 120€ Joystick vermutlich nicht genug Tasten für alle Funktionen hat.

Alles in allem aber ein super Spiel das echt viel spaß macht :) .

A real masterpiece and a game no point-and-click adventurer out there should dare to miss!

The Night of the Rabbit is together with 'A whispered world' and 'Deponia' the pinacle of Daedelics point and click games.

The Story:

You play as Jerry who was magically shrunk and ends up in a way more interesting dimension than ours. Now he wanders through woods, fields and villages.... or well one village, meeting all kinds of quirky people and creatures like mice, frogs, bunnies, a fat frog that doesn't want to WAKE UP. Similar to games like Ni No Kuni but in a more western style you might say. It tells a very appearing and warming story that still manages to get you to think deeper.

'The Feel':

Absolutely beautiful hand drawn characters you just got to love if you are into that kind of grapical representation. The atmosphere of soft and subtle music mixed with soothing sounds of nature is absolutely hypnotizing. You can't help but be drawn in and look closely so you don't miss anything.
Ofc this makes it a very calm, sometimes slow gameflow which you have to enjoy. I spent hours during my trips from college and back playing this on the train or during long breaks and it really helped make fond memories of those times.

You like adventure games? Get this one!

TLDR:
This game is huuuuuge. One of the best RPGs out there right now. The coop in this is the best you can get in an isometric RPG.

This is a must have for any fan of Diablo or Dungeon Siege. It's an isometric RPG the way you'd imagine it to be in the modern age.


In-Depth:

Let's start with the negatives since that list is shorter.
So what is actually not that great about Divinity 2? Well there is probably only one thing that ended up being rather annoying.
The source magic skills. The entire game shapes around the fact that you have access to what they call "source magic" it's said to be crazy powerfull and normal folks blame the use of source magic for the excistence of creepy voidcreatures that attack and seem undefeatable.
I really really really recommend anyone to make your own class instead of playing a premade hero since that gives you access to the "Dome of Protection" skill which is by far one of the strongest Source magic spells for most if not all of the game. It replenishes both armor and magical armor and will greatly help your survival.
That said most of the source magic skills are just utterly aweful compared to other spells you have in this game or even spells you know from other isometric RPGs. They are just nowhere near as powerful as you'd expect them to be. Something like raining down Meteors costs you 3 Source magic points which is the max ammount of points you can have at a time.


Now for the good. Which is basically everything else.

Coop:
Coop is implemented as flawlessly as it gets. Although you might aswell rather call it multiplayer than coop. The party doesn't have to be together at all times. Although the max ammount of player characters is maxed at 4. You could even play the game in Versus and set yourself as enemys.

Combat:
Unlike other turn based combat games (*cough* XCom *cough*) this game is pretty much never frustrating and annoying but always challenging and exciting.
The combat adds environmental effects on top of what you are used to in isometric RPGs and turn based RPGs. The distribution of said environmental effects is usually realized through conveniently placed casks, plants or other stuff that has water, gunpowder, oil or toxin ect in them. These usually litter their contents over a reasonably sized area causing effects you'd imagine them to have. Once that is done they can be interacted with, like water can be set on electricity or can be frozen to make the area slippery.
Which leads us to the defenses. Let's say you stand on a field that was set on fire. The field itsself will deal a set ammount of damage to you each round. Said damage is blocked by your magical armor. Once the magical armor is depleted you suffer damage to your health as well as getting set on fire yourself which will result in two sources of damage on you. Both the physical and the magical armor also block a variety of status effects. Like physical armor shields you from getting knocked down or stunned while magical armor shields you from getting set on fire, silenced or going insane and therelike.
During your journey you'll meet many enemys with lots of different combinations of these resistances which makes every fight a blast to play.

Flexibility:
Class wise the game has a "you want it you get it" policy. You want your Warrior to throw fireballs too? Put a point in pyromancy, teach him fireball, voila! The game basically only soft locks you in terms of what you can do since you need to put points into memory so your character can remember more skills on top of the fact that you usually need to put more points into something if you want it to cause more damage.

Story:
The story is interesting and keeps you engaged. While a lot of the things are voiced so you don't have to spend a ton of time reading there still is a lot of context and story you can only really grasp if you read into them.

Been playing Worms since Worms 1 on Playstation. This certainly isn't as much of a milestone as Worms 2 or Worms Armageddon but it is still really fun with some new twists added in.

So what does this do you ask? Let me walk through them.

1. Vehicles: There are vehicles allover the map now, ranging from stationary machineguns to helicopters or even the Rocket League Octane car and many more. They all serve different purposes in different situations.

2. Buildings: Similar to Worms 3D you can now enter Buildings and walk around inside it for better cover. Kinda like making yourself a fortress with the burner tool but still different.

3. Crafting: In your weapon menu you now have a second flag for the crafting menu. It lets you combine materials from dismanteled weapons you dont want or materials you collected from crates. Is overall a nice addition to make you get that one weapon you were craving for but these pesky chests won't give you.


That said they seem to have gotten rid of the class system from Worms Revolution. No more heavy, scout, soldier or scientist. At least I havn't encountered them.

Overall a great game and lots of fun!

Game is super fun for anyone into rogue-like games. Dungeons are randomly generated like in Isaac. Soundtrack is amazing!
