Is DU the best game out there? No. It is lacking so many features. However those features can get added. The thing that makes DU so great is its single shard technology. The ability to have hundreds of players and thousands of ships in one location. While tens of thousands of players are doing other things in the universe.

And you might say, But Eve Online already does that. However in DU all those ships are custom built by players in any shape you could conceive. And in DU ship destruction is based on where the weapon hits. instead of some arbitrary Hull/Armor/Shield value.

And you might say, But Space Engineers has all that and so much more. But in space engineers you will never have so many players an ships in one location. And I am hoping one day DU will offer as many feautres as SE.

Basically if DU is around in another 10 years, it will be the best space MMO out there. (Well unless SC keeps dumping the kind of money they are and actually release a game).

I am at a toss up on a positive vs a negative review. Yes because the game can be great. No because the amount of content they put out could be done by a one person team.

DU can be made into a great game. Just not by NQ.
