This game released after it was on xbox for five years, yet it still has major issues. The first being coop connection problems, and second being the broken spawn system. The community is very, very toxic. Every match (in Big team), there will either be a quitter, a betrayer, or a AFK player, EVERY MATCH.The spawns are different than the original games,You will spawn near your camping teammate, who, if he is already pinned down, will likely spawn you in the enemies crosshairs. The multiplayer uses a matchmaking system, which punishes solo players , by matching them against parties, while they recieve the worst teammates that have ever played. This isn't fair for the new players or the veteran solo players, they will get mopped by their partied opponents coordinated attacks. The chat filter is a joke, you cannot even say "117" or "rude". Chat filtering an M rated game.... The ban system is a joke, If the game crashes with a fatal error, which is very common, you will be banned. There is no rejoining matches (edit* you can rejoin...finally)or no replacing players that have left.
Halo 1 and 2 are the best games of the franchise. halo 3 guns are weak. The bullet travel is slow, grenade range is reduced. Everything is downgraded in that game. Not to mention the terrible hit detection, host boost benefits. The story was and should have ended with halo 2. Anyone that was around during the launch of halo 2 know how big of a deal it was. Halo 3 story is very much tacked on with so many plot holes that they had to have books to fill in the gaps. Halo reach was another unnecessary halo game. The story was trying to find out which spartan has the best death.

Also Crazy DRM, even if offline you cant play if xbox servers are down. 343 is a incompetent studio, and i honestly do not see them having any other good game that isn't made by another studio first. I only recommend if you are playing in a party, custom games, or campaign. There is no split screen, and there were supposed to be 10 seasons, they stopped at 8, and most of the content is for halo 3. They could have really done something with halo 2 remastered with more content (edit* they added halo 2 anniversary content), but it's 343 so expect disappointment. Only reason i recommend is because i don't want this game to die, even if it is ruined by 343.
