There are some balancing issues, and the game is short on maps and turns. Some features from previous civ games are missing, but nothing that wont be patched in on a later date (probably). Look at like a new civ game instead of thinking it are a development from civ6. And the UI is okay. At this time (launch day for us that have bought the more expensive versions) the game is barebone, but highly playable and fun to play, just dont expect it to be civ6 after all the updates and dlc's.
