Nice game.
Fun to play.
Not enough Tombraiding in my opinion.
Puzzles are overall pretty simple.
Graphics and sound are still good. (2022)

Killing Floor 2.

In concept it is a simple kill and survive the horde game.
You play alone or with a few friends on a map where the game spawns monsters (zeds).
Every following round the game spawns more and stronger zeds, increasing the difficulty.
Until the final round, where the game spawns one of the bosses.
There are 4 difficulties: normal, hard, suicidal and hell on earth.

The zeds will try to surround you in order to kill you.
Your job: kill them all.
Every type of zed has certain abilities, strengths and weaknesses.

The player can choose a class/perk to play before every round start.
Every class has their special abilities.
For instance: the medic is tough and fast and can effectively heal teammates, but has less stopping power against the stronger zeds. The demolitionist is slow, but can destroy groups of the weaker zeds with ease.

That's about it.
It's fun and frantic gameplay, especially on the higher difficulties.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm tells the story of Chloe and Rachel.
And it should explain why Chloe is trying to find Rachel in Life is Strange (1).
In my opinion it is lacking in logical choices that can be made by Chloe.
Some of the things she does do not make sense at all.
Example Spoiler:
In the DA office she finds an EMAIL from Rachel's mother. This means she has her email adress and that should suffice to come in contact with her. Yet she goes through a lot of trouble to contact Damon, destroy evidence etc. Yes Damon had kidnapped Rachel's mother but in my playthrough Chloe was not aware of that fact (did not find the phone yet) and the email adress should have been enough.
And there are several more.
The story is nonetheless intriguing and the gameplay is fine.

If you liked "Life is Strange", you will probably like "Life is Strange: Before the Storm".
I did.

Costume Quest 2 is an easy to play adventure game with a turn based combat system.
The gameplay is similar to Costume Quest 1 and the story is again about saving halloween.
Every costume in the game has special stats for attack and defense etc.
You accumulate candy by trick and treating and by winning battles agains the villains.
The candy can be traded for special abilities in the form of cards, which can be used in combat.
During the game you find new costumes with special stats which are necessary to progress.

All in all a lighthearted fun to play game, targeted to players age 10 and up I estimate.
I found it a nice diversion from the other, games that I normally play.
That's it.

Dreamfall Chapters has a good story line. And that's what it basically is: an interactive story.
There are several puzzles to solve in the game. These come in the form of objectives or tasks.
The game has a lot of dialogue scenes and cut scenes and I estimate it covers about 80% of the actual game time.
The choices that the player makes during dialogue and cut scenes often have far reaching consequences for events later on in the game. Something that I really liked.
The graphics are a bit dated in my opinion, especially the face animations. But the environments are often very well made and nonetheless add to immersion.

So, if you like story driven games with lots of "sit back and watch & listen" cut scenes, then this game might suit you.

Fallout 4, I like it a lot.

The base game is fun, but it has limited replayability.
This is mostly because Bethesda chose for a voiced PC and a 4 way dialogue interface.
"Choice 1, 2, 3 and exit conversation" is all there is most of the time.
The RPG aspects of this game are very limited because of this.

The story, at times, is really not making any sense at all.
All of the opposing factions are very unconvincing and lack depth.
It's the same for most of the npcs.

The Expansion dlc is fine.

But there is something very good about this game.
It is the open world, but the great redeemer of this game is the mod-ability.
So, the things that make this game great in my opinion, are all the free mods that come from the community and the option to make mods yourself.

Very good Portal game.
It's free for players who own Portal 2.
It is more than good enough to be a standalone game in my opinion.
The mod world wide community never ceases to amaze!

Level design is excellent.
Voice acting is excellent.
The puzzles are diverse in difficulty, ranging from easy to pretty hard.
Story telling is also excellent and it fits very nicely in the Portal1 and -2 universe.

I hope there is more to come from the developers of Prism Studios.

Did I say it's an excellent game ?
Well it is an excellent game !

First game from the developers and it's free.

Short game with a few simple puzzles.
Decent story line.

I say: Try it out.

Nice action-puzzle game.

I expected this game to be about smashing monsters with the ball.
What I got is a game that mixes monster smashing with (not too difficult) mechanical 3-d puzzles.

The game starts off with a kind of tutorial level, which does it's job pretty good, without hand-holding.
As the game progresses things become gradually more dangerous and some action-game skills are required.
There are also secrets to be found, some easy- and some hard to find.

The level design is good in my opininon, with nice graphics and an Aztec (?) theme.
I like it if a game lets me explore the possibilities, but the invisible walls won't allow for lethal mistakes while exploring.
But I assume the invisible walls are there so the ball does not fall off the map.

Good game in my opinon.
I would buy part 2 if it would come.

This game is linear.
I'm a few hours in and it feels like a rail-shooter.
It's probably the stupidification effect we see more and more in games nowadays.
