If you want to play a game where your wife hates your guts and you constantly cockblock yourself to attractive women throwing themselves at you, this is the game for you.

I'm giving this a positive review because I think there's more good than bad, but as-is, this game is a mixed bag and I don't think it should have came out of EA. It definitely doesn't feel like a polished enough game to be considered a release title.

Good:
* Built off the tried and true M&B setup, from the maps, cities, combat area's, squads, weapons/armor, etc.
* Combat is interesting, AI is somewhat simple but challenging enough. Battles do feel chaotic and enemies coming from lots of directions and unknowns, usually at long range where aiming is actually difficult. Scopes are appropriately priced to be extremely expensive because they dramatically change how effective you can be in combat.
* Great selection of weapons and armor, and gearing up your forces feels like it has a noticable impact on their combat ability.
* Varied gameplay makes trading valuable, hunting out bad npc's such as looters, pirates and terrorists, taking out npc settlements, and eventually capturing towns and warring with factions.

Bad:
* Really suffers from not having a diplomacy system, which was a big part of M&B. No way to ally with specific factions or war others. Factions have rep based on helping in battles to increase it, or doing quests, and lowering it if you attack them, but it's really simplistic. You won't miss it at first until you get into the mid-game where it starts to matter.
* General lack of polish in that it has a somewhat clumsy UI and controls (heal is X, but H does nothing, for example. Binoculars are V, B changes fire mode?). There are lots of textual errors throughout, quest names with transposed letters, and even the intro story has a problem where they failed to properly escape the apostrophe's in the text so there's an extra space in them for no good reason. The UI itself is just pretty rough, and lacks of having any polish from a UI/UX designer go through it.
* In combat, I felt like my character often got targetted directly over my squad of 50+ troops, which made combat a bit weird sometimes. I'm not sure how viable the game would be if you wanted to play a character with shotguns or SMG's, it feels like rifles and AR's are the only real winners so far. There's also no vehicles so that lacks the "mount" in M&B gameplay, and it leaves a missing dimension in the gameplay.

I'm at the point where my next step is to take a city, so I'm not quite sure how the city building plays out, but there are reviews on that too.

I'll give this a positive review with reservations, as the game isn't for everyone. The bad controls, sloppy text, and clumsy UI almost had me refunding it at first, but I'm glad I stuck around.

10 hours in so far, this game is definitely what I thought it would be and more. Really enjoying how much the tools give you to create and build in this game, so far no matter how crazy of an obstacle they threw at me (weird terrain, resources from far away or needing to grab from multiple spawn areas) I've been able to handle it somehow, the challenge is often in solving the problem and coming up with a way to build with the map you're given, a map that changes every time you play.

100% what I expected from the game. An actually fun 2d sidescroller, with interesting enemies, loot, upgrades, and the town building aspect is well done.

All in all a great game and currently on sale at a ridiculous price.

I saw this game when it first came out, was interested, but gave it a pass due to lots of reports of bugs. Happy to say I have 14+ hours in the game at this point, and haven't run into any bugs. No crashed, nothing game-breaking, no major issues. While there's still room to polish up a few things, the developers look like they're continuing to work on the game, and have put out content updates just in the last few weeks even (new wall tiles/paints, etc.).

All in all, it's the game I expected it to be. Very similar to other simulation games like say, Car Mechanic Simulator or others. You are given tasks to do at houses, paint, assemble, furnish, clean up, etc.

I have spent almost all my time doing orders (jobs), and there seem to only be 2 left. I am not sure if more unlock after these (I doubt it), but I believe you can also re-do old ones as they still show up in the archive. Burt there looks to be about 15-20 orders, and that's kept me busy for almost all of the 14.5 hours.

Next step is more time consuming, you can buy houses in various sizes and states of repair, and you basically go in and remodel them like a sandbox mode. After that, you can sell them. There's a meta to this, there's a half dozen buyers with different tastes and interests. Your goal as you sell houses is to learn what they like, and hopefully tailor a house to a specific buyer, who come auction time, will bid a lot of money. So far, I took a cheap, burned out $30k house and fully remodeled and furnished it, and was able to get $55k in the sale. Took me about 2 hours to do.

All in all, for the money on the current steam sale, this was worth the price and I look forward to see what the developers add in the future. My hope is on some outdoors/landscaping mode to be added later.

Recommended for sure, it's exactly like what I thought it would be. The ship to ship combat is great, melee and person to person combat seems okay at least, but I haven't done a ton of it. Similar to Mount and Blade perhaps, but not as robust.

What I enjoy is the fast-paced action of being a crew on the ship, below decks, you're either manning and loading a cannon, being the powder monkey (delivering supplies), spotting enemies with a scope, fixing holes, pumping water, putting out fires, or even captaining your own ship (which is frankly, easy to learn, difficult to master, as strategic positoning becomes everything).

Keep in mind this is an EA release. While some things could be fleshed out a bit better (like more character customization, more weapons, more ships, etc) that's all on their roadmap to development of the game. As-is it's fun as hell.

Like many others, I've played hundreds of hours of this game. Like many others, I've played nearly all of them with mods, mods that not only enhance the games experience and add countless replayability and longevity to the game, but also mods that simply fix a lot of the main games problems and simply make it a better experience.

Bethesda's decision to retroactively change this game into paid mods has not only destroyed the saves and made modded games accessible for millions of players, but they also have once again failed to answer many important questions necessary for any paid mods scheme to even be viable.

* What happens mods are no longer updated, broken by a developer update, or conflict with other mods?
* What keeps the mod store from being flooded with $99 fake mods and $1 gun skins?
* What is and can be done about people who copy free mods to try to capitalize on other people's hard work?
* Thus far, it seems like the mod "store" uses in game credits which are basically never refundable.

If this is how Bethesda is going to play, I can't recommend this game. Fallout 4 was by far not the best game in the series. It was a game who only became a fitting addition to the Fallout IP through the use of mods that extended and corrected much of the games content. Without it, it's just another one of hundreds of mediocre games most people have in their list already. Without mods, there are simply better games to go play.

It's PUB ♥♥♥♥♥♥ G. For my first foray into a Battle Royale type game, this thing blows it all away. Definitely the definitive entry into the genre that does so many elements so right. Best enjoyed with a few friends, but I've even managed to find a lot along the way just by queueing up alone. Met a lot of cool people that way.

Beyond that, one thing I have to give a shout out to is how the company behind the game is constantly updating it and adding new features and better optimizations. That blew me away, this game is already at launch beyond say, Rust, despite Rust being out for years. Content and updates come fast and the company seems committed to making this game great.

This has to be one of the definitive zombie games out on the market right now. So many things done right, open world done right, and while I'm only 10 hours in, I see people with hundreds who are still playing it for the replayability. I haven't yet finished the campaign but have been blown away by how great the parkour aspect is, the zombie slaying, the day/night cycles, etc. So far, the story and missions have been diverse and interesting, and a really good mix.

It was down to around $20 on the last Steam sale, which seems like a steal. Definitely a Must-buy.

I'm enjoying this game and will probably rack up at least 70-80 hours in it all told, but I have a few pro's and ♥♥♥♥ to go over as despite a big upgrade from the previous Farming Simulators, this isn't altogether a perfect game, although they did improve on a lot of the previous mechanics and expand on it.

Pro's:
+ The greatest draw to this game is the open world and freedom to do whatever you want. You can either play the campaign for realism or free play to just drive around in cool vehicles right away, or personally, I enjoy spending time logging mixed with farming, which has been expanded and improved in this game.
+ Tons more vehicles than the previous game, in virtually every aspect
+ A slightly better AI system than previous
+ Mod support including easy access to mods from a built in mod menu, including tons of free mods added from Giants software themselves.

♥♥♥'s:
- The AI is still a bit wonky, I had cleared out all trees near the edges of my farm and expanded the borders of fields with plows, but then the AI would do weird things like not harvest or plant in certain areas or would get themselves stuck on rocks, etc.
- No AI still for things like straw collectors/balers or tipper drivers. The AI is still "stupid" and is unaware of other AI vehicles, meaning two AI vehicles meeting on the same path will get confused and get stuck requiring manual intervention. This happens a lot say with cultivators and seeders, if they meet at the edges of the field when they try to turn, even if they're not overlapping each other. AI vehicles also get confused if something is in their path, even if it would be easy to just go around or avoid it (like a trailer parked on the outside edge of a field that seems out of the way enough).
- Money seems harder to make in this game than previous, and harvest missions almost seem like the fastest way to get money early on, and not develop your farm. If all you want to do is just work on and develop your farm, they should have made it easier to start out imo. This is especially problematic because you start out with old tractors that have really high repair costs and will drain your income.

All in all I was hoping this game would expand on the AI aspect to really allow you to play more of a farm management role instead of a farmhand itself, and while the AI is slightly less stupid than previous and other comments have pointed it out, it still has a long way to go and still requires you to do quite a bit of the work. It should be called more accurately as a "Farm Vehicle Simulator" than "Farming Simulator," and had I known the AI was still fairly bad I wouldn't have picked up this title, and by the time I really figured it out I was past my 2 hour refund mark.

All in all, I still gave it a recommendation. What I wanted out of this game may be different than others, and I'm still enjoying it despite the limitations. It's a game I'll sink 80+ hours into I'm sure before I move on to something else, but at the same time wish it was something more than what it is.
