One of the best single player games I've played in many years. It was pure joy and nostalgic. ID level design + FPS combat, coupled with Bethesda world immersion, right from the get-go. The story, setting, voice acting and in-game fiction was all spot on. Killer soundtrack!

I love the fact that this game can exist in a time where everything has to be censored. It draws you in, how raw the game potrays the very darkest and ****ed up things we humans are capable of doing. You feel like a man with a mission, and the classic ID FPS combat excels yet again. Every encounter I had was enjoyable to play, even if I was on the losing end.


You got your standard HP/Armor stats, a weapon wheel with tons of modifications, dual wield and alt-fire modes. Good variance in difficulty settings and tons of collectibles. There's even a mechanic to ensure you can play the game atleast twice, and get something else out of it.

Getting 100% and all achievements is also bearable, I managed to do it in around 36h, and it wasen't tedious at all.

Natural Selection was one of the best mods for the original "Half-Life" back in the day. Natural Selection 2 is the stand-alone sequel to that old HL mod, made by Unknown Worlds.

I have spent around 10 years playing / engaging with the community and developers of this title, after spending most of my childhood in ns1, and let me just advise you right now, against ever buying this product or supporting UWE in their future endeavours.

Development has been officially discontinued, and left to a few people that does hotfixes. The player community today is almost dead, you will only find a few servers, with a few people each day if you actually look... The player metrics keep trickling down month after month, as they have done so for the past many years. Your best bet at finding good matches is on discords.

I spent countless hours building a custom map for this game, and in the end it was all for naught, as the developers clearly sold out NS for Subnautica and new franchises, and left this one to die in the dust. The developers and mappers I called "friends", will only continue to be so, if you do not critique their work and just reply with fire emojis, whenever they lack attention.

The community didn't even get their mods whitelisted these past 6 months, because the dev doing it was "busy irl"! All communicated on a small official discord.. That's how great a state this game was left in.

The developers will greet any critique with mob hate from their circle jerk. They even try to bend solid facts if you try to hindsight this title's past 10 year history on where it objectively went wrong.

Stay clear from Unknown Worlds, you've been warned!

Subnautica may be a nice game, but some of the people behind UWE is rotten, and they are not worth your support, this is evident from how they handled ns2.

Kind of a love and hate relationship with this game..

I paid nearly 100$ for the game + season pass on release, and after half a year of playing a poor port, they discontinued pc support entirely. We didn't get the new net code or the characters from kombat pack 2.

Another half year has passed, and I decided to buy kombat pack 2 this winter sale, I can now finally play the game as it was meant to be. The fact that it has cost me 100+ dollars though, and it took them over a year, to finally deliver a final playable product on PC, is certainly something to bear in mind with future releases coming from this developer.

The game in its current state is quite good. Many characters, combos feel great, somewhat balanced and it's possible to find matches. Fatality's and X-ray moves all look and play great. Brutalities are fluid. Get this game if you like Mortal Kombat or a good fighter, hook up a controller and have a rumble.

Get the game on sales, they don't really deserve to milk people more with this product.
