It started, way back when as "oh this is like a 2d minecraft?" Then as I got to playing, found my first corruption biome thinking it was a game glitch... but then the whole adventure began. Now, a few hundred hours later I can say that no, this is not "just 2d minecraft", it is so much more than that. The feeling of progression and adventure dwarfs its 3d counterpart to such an extent that its fitting to say that compared to Terraria, minecraft is just touching the surface of what a blocky world can be.
