Early Access Review
Pretty damn good for early access, there's a lot of strategic elements and planning but the best bit is the map generation. Choosing any location in the world down to its street name and have those details generated like you're using google maps, just means you'll be back for many playthroughs.

Also you can get revenge on your ex/workplace by destroying their building, what's not to love?

The game is a lot of fun and the issue on micro-transactions has been blown out of proportion. Sure it's cheeky and greedy, but I haven't felt the need to purchase them, heck you wouldn't even notice the game has them.

The game has a few optimisation issues but overall, you don't need to make extra purchases to get the most out of it.

Not a bad game so far, it reminds me of Aliens: Dark Descent in regards to squad and resource management. There's a lot of strategic layers to it like ammo types, specific vehicle parts being destroyed basically what you would see in Men of War. There are some choices you can make that will work in your favour or bite you in the arse, your annoying sergeant makes that obvious.

It is however blatantly not finished. There's a few optimisation issues and the pathfinding for individual soldiers/vehicles is some of the worst I've ever seen in an RTS game, so make sure to pick it up cheap.

When it works, it's a very fun game.

When it works.

When it doesn't (which is a lot), it's frequent low framerates and crashes when loading. Worth picking up absolutely but for full price? Lord no.

I genuinely love the survival elements in this game. I've had to plan my routes to desperately avoid patrolling drones, watch and conserve my ammo when possible, and choose the best locations to have fights. When things have gone to hell (and they will, definitely) it feels like the iconic scenes in the movie where you have to fall back, or extract whilst fighting off the encroaching horde. All with the authentic sounds of the pulse rifle and motion tracker going crazy, it all adds up to a genuine great experience

I really hope this game continues to get support and more content.

Do not let the mental intolerant boycotters stop you from playing this game.

I've never been into the Harry Potter series but when this game caught my eye, I was invested, it looked very flavoursome, felt like there was a lot of lore and beautiful. That's pretty much what I got, the aesthetics have been absolutely nailed Thankfully I don't have the performance issues mentioned by a few people, but a lot of hardwork and love clearly went into this. The character creation is quite alright, controls feel fine if not a tad bit slow, spells look very pretty and are a blast to cast.

Do yourself a favour, buy it and play it, and above all... enjoy it!

Damn puberty hit Sonic hard, both in his gameplay and voice.

This game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess.

The monetisation is real and shoves their nonsense bundles in your face to purchase before you even get to the game's frontend!
The battle pass progression is pointless if you don't spend half the price of a game for a pass, you unlock all these things which "require battle pass to use" with the free items not even being great themselves.
Every multiplayer game is just some esports bollocks with some moron jumping every two seconds.
The new weapons with every season is free (for now) but enjoy the long grind to get yourself to that particular segment of the map. That's presuming you haven't crashed either.

The only saving grace is the singleplayer, which is mediocre at best. They did some creative survival/stealth missions involving Soap and even an element where you craft items due to having no weapons, which was pretty fun.

A game you'll find yourself replaying a lot.

... Because it won't stop bloody crashing.
