Best Fallout EVAH.

Short, beautiful game, with simple puzzle mechanics that is thoroughly enjoyable!

Veers from the ultra serious to the laugh out loud 'over the top' funny, Wolfenstein 2 is a heck of a ride.

My intial experience was blighted by a series of lock ups that made the game unplayable, but thankfully 18.1.11 solved the problem and I am free to enjoy this brilliant game!

Lovely game that has simple yet satsifying game mechanics that help you engage and enjoy the great story. Hope, love and redemption are the the themes. Perfect entertainment for a dark winter's night.

Accordiong to the Steam Stats I last played the game today. That's not true/ What I did do, in my endless optimistic pursuit of ACTUALLY being able to play the game, was to start the game, watch the splash screen appear then select PLAY and wathc as the screen goes black and then watch the game crash. AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN.

The game initially ran really well, it had the odd lighting bug, but nothing game breaking. I was enjoying it and although I would agree with some of the criticism, I was beginning to warm to its charms. Then a 1.2Gb patch was released and broke the game.

I have tried every recommended fix going,uninstalled/reinstalled, even tried the game after Windows updates hoping it was fixed. But no it's not.

Hence my first extended and negative review.

I hope it gets fixed, but with the flood of other brilliant FUNCTIONING games being released this Autumn I can't say I'm that bothered.

First things first - the play time shown is not accurate - I played quite a bit "offlline"and Steam does not include this in the total play time. That said this game is short, but this is not an issue - the game's length suits the story it tells and it is priced accordingly.

I played this in a couple of sessions, and it was a fascinating, although mostly baffling experience. The story is...well...to be honest I am not sure what the story is..

The visuals are fantastic - I wished I had mapped the F12 key to the 360 controller..so many screenshots.

The audio also adds a good deal to the atmosphere and is very well done, helping to reinforce the haunting vistas you come accross on your journey. The story is partially narrated and in the main the voice acting is great, although I can understand why others have found it "pompous".

I really enjoyed the experience - the world the very small team of dev's have created is visually stunning and is worth the three to four hours it will take you to explore it's beauty.

Any words I write will not do justice to this beautifully moving game.

So please, put aside your cynicism and enjoy the emotional journey.
