If you like the base game, the DLC is a must have!
The level design and layout is, in my opinion, even better than the base game. There is a lot of content, you can easily spend 20-30 hours in the dlc. only performance could be better though this isn*t an issue most of the time.

So first things first: Yes, as of now the performance is not great. And yes a game should release in a better optimized condition. However, the performance isn't as bad as i thought it would be. It is defenitely playable on a mid tier pc (amd 3600x, rtx 2060s, 16gb RAM). I don't get super high framerates but at least they are stable, so the experience isn't destroyed by lags or stutters. I do hope though, that the devs fix these problems. And here is why:

The gameplay is absolutely awesome so far! There are a lot of improvements over the first game and you have to learn a lot of new mechanics, that lead to deeper and more complex gameplay systems. So really do hope the performance gets fixed, so i can enjoy the game even more.

If you don't mind the performance issues (which do NOT ruin he experience) this game is absolutely worth it.

Cities: Skylines is a grat game! However the annoyances are piling up to an extend, that i can not recommend this game anmyore.
There are so many core mechanics that a broken or lacking. Luckily there are tons of mods that solve these problems. The thing is however, with each new update, a lot of these mods tend to break the game. so if you want to jump back in once in a while you'll either have to spend hours to try to get the mods working, or you settle with playing the game in a subpar (because heavily limited compared to modded) version. The DLCs often times just add stuff, without adressing the fundamental problems the game has since it's original release (horrible traffic for example). By now the Devs, should have bought those essential mods and include them in the basegame. Instead they sell you DLCs that most of the time aren't that great.
It is time for a full fletched Sequel with updated graphics and most importantly implementation of all the funtionality the mods provide.

Though the first time playing Dark Souls 1 years ago is an experience that is unmatched, Elden Ring is probably the best "Souls"-Game so far. It brings together everything From Software has learned over the past decade and puts everything on another level. This might also be the best entrypoint for newcomers. Sure it's still a game that requires you to learn and master it's mechanics and can be frustrating at times, but this is by far the most accessible game from software has made yet. it also gives you a lot of tools and strategies to make your life in the lands between easier. For me it has been the best gaming experience in a long time!
