Being on foot is much more PC intensive than being in your ship. Yet there are not separate graphics settings for the two. It's not seamless, you do have to go through a load to go in and out. Rovers are annoying to pilot, especially trying to scoop cargo. Entering and leaving planets is also not seamless and is a pain. The engineering grind required to be effective is stupidly long for a non-mmo.
