Bought this on release day and it's been a great adventure so far. As an old fogey who played BG1+2, I say this lives up to and greatly improves on the originals. The turn-based combat and real time out-of-combat fits DnD perfectly. Voice acting is some of the best ever. The amount of little details and depth are amazing.

If I had to complain about anything, the character creation and leveling screens are lacking a lot of information that would be useful. It's disheartening to alt-tab to look up info and potentially be exposed to spoilers. I highly recommend going to the BG3 wiki and looking up each class to see what they all do (avoid looking at anything else). If the devs felt the info would over-complicate things, they could have included a button for simple mode and advanced character creation. In any case, this is a minor quibble compared to the greatness of the game.

I hope they make a lot of expansions/dlc/sequels with more great content. I would be happy to pay for each that expanded the world and story.
