What is up with the EULA? They're going to upload recording software that runs while you play OTHER games? This isn't just the game recording it's own data. You pay to buy this game and they make you agree to this? Paying wasn't enough? Getting closer to a corporate dystopia here. You pay them to steal your data and resell it.

Thereby, the User hereby agrees that Owlcat Games has the right to upload software program files to User's Device, that will record CPU, RAM, operating system, video card, sound card, software and application of the other developers, peripherals, geolocation and any other anonymous technical and statistical information from User's computer.

Early Access Review
I like this game, but it is very unfriendly to new players, so it's hard to recommend. What is a new player supposed to think of all these icons that have no text or explanation and visually explain nothing? It's even difficult to find online answers to what these are. You need to play with a more experienced person at first. If you can find someone, friend or stranger to help you, then go for it, it's a one of a kind game.

Should you buy this if you are trying Rimworld out for the first time? NO. As with all the DLC, play the base game for a bit, buy a single DLC and play it, and continue one at a time. Same with mods. You need to know what is being changed with each DLC/Mod.

Past that, this is a fantastic DLC that adds optional and customizable content that adds a Bloodborne/Cthulhu atmosphere. The trailer shows it perfectly. I love when developers release fairly priced for their size DLC, and Ludeon always does. They are worth showing support for, especially if you want the game to grow.

Elden Ring may not get every little detail right for each particular person, but overall this is one of the greatest games yet. The hundreds of hours of entertainment you get for what you pay (even at full price) is far beyond what other games are offering.

Don't buy Rockstar games. They require that you make an account with them to play even single-player. Then they allow hackers to steal your account and change your email and password WITHOUT contacting you or sending a warning email, nothing. Can't play singleplayer.

Being on foot is much more PC intensive than being in your ship. Yet there are not separate graphics settings for the two. It's not seamless, you do have to go through a load to go in and out. Rovers are annoying to pilot, especially trying to scoop cargo. Entering and leaving planets is also not seamless and is a pain. The engineering grind required to be effective is stupidly long for a non-mmo.

I played this game the first few months it came out and played a bit in 2023. The game seems to have gotten a lot more tedious with the addition of certain systems like engineering. This is not an mmo, why did the devs have to make such a grind?

Your ship will be half it's potential in all areas unless you engineer. Engineering involves the mind numbing process of collecting garbage on planet surfaces and bringing those to material traders to trade up for better materials. You need to go through dozens and hundreds of hours of collecting to upgrade a single ship. It seems especially rotten for explorers who want to go where no man has gone before, but instead have to putz around gathering just to be able to upgrade their engines.

Visuals and especially sound design are amazing.
Time it takes to get in-game from launching it is 2-10 minutes because of the annoying launcher you need to log in to.

The DLC is also tedious. Driving a surface vehicle is worse than driving an RC car as a kid. The fps missions pit you alone against an army like you're some ultra human rambo. Landing on planets is aggravating and NOT seamless.

I really wish there was another game with the only feature this game is good for, which is the gigantic full galaxy map to explore. Elite has too many hoops to jump through before you can do what you truly want.

Don't Starve Together has something for everyone. Host your own game and easily show potential friends what your game is about. Taking down bosses, exploring, learning the game, sitting by a campfire at night and chatting, building pleasant or horrifying bases. Join a game and help someone overcome foes or survive a winter. The game is surprisingly immersive and the world can feel alive at times. Well worth the price.

One of the most immersive and comprehensive games ever. Feel like you are in 1899 and the end of the wild west is at hand.

Bought this on release day and it's been a great adventure so far. As an old fogey who played BG1+2, I say this lives up to and greatly improves on the originals. The turn-based combat and real time out-of-combat fits DnD perfectly. Voice acting is some of the best ever. The amount of little details and depth are amazing.

If I had to complain about anything, the character creation and leveling screens are lacking a lot of information that would be useful. It's disheartening to alt-tab to look up info and potentially be exposed to spoilers. I highly recommend going to the BG3 wiki and looking up each class to see what they all do (avoid looking at anything else). If the devs felt the info would over-complicate things, they could have included a button for simple mode and advanced character creation. In any case, this is a minor quibble compared to the greatness of the game.

I hope they make a lot of expansions/dlc/sequels with more great content. I would be happy to pay for each that expanded the world and story.
