You can vault into the sky in a 30 ton battlemech and punch a helicopter... and get paid for it! 10/10

Zom Nom is a fun little free game. It has a simple, but entertaining premise, move towards enemies, slap them of kill them with your toxic spitballs, eat their brains, look for more enemies. (The subtitle of the game sums it up nicely.) At first I thought the jumping was a bit floaty, but aside from accidentally landing on the heads of enemies and not being able to attack them, I quickly got used to it. Barry the Zombie seems to have a wide hit box and lands pretty easily on skinny pipes. The spitball aiming is pretty fun. Your living adversaries follow the same rules for zombies too, just aim for the head.

All in all, it was a fun experience. Cute concept that has potential, beautiful environments and the best price point you could get. Give it a whirl when you're in between your triple A titles.

This is the best game ever, especially in league play with your friends. It can be salt inducing to the unwary, however. It is a nearly 1-1 translation on the board game with every official team and then some (aside from choas pact). Game play is essentially chess with dice. Successful players must judge the risk of an action versus the reward. League play turns the game into a football manager, RPG, Rougelike type of game. This is the reason why I love it. Seeing my star players level up and get access to rare skills (skill access is based on a random dice roll that gives you normal skill access, or a BONUS access to non-standard skills and characteristic increases.), build up my stadium, and bury those now dead star players after they tripped over a shoelace and broke their neck. Sounds frustrating, but it's all part of the narrative you can build for your team.

Buy it. Learn to play it. Love it.

Don't listen to the salt lords ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on this game and trying to come up with reasons why the game sucks to deflect away from their garbage tactics and poor aim.

The promos don't lie. This is a thinking person's shooter. Most mechs are not capable of ramboing by themselves and taking on the whole enemy team. Even if you're piloting the heaviest assault mech, you WILL go down in seconds if you are focused by four or five mechs on the enemy side. To win you have to support your allies and, most importantly, be standing in the right spot at the right time. Beyond the competative aspect, you have access to hundreds of mech variants and a large (still growing) number of maps. Some cool custom camo and decal editors, and very soon, 1v1 and 2v2 gladitorial style matches, all in the name of earning piles of C-Bills.

Disclaimer: There are some "premium" mechs that you can only buy with real money, but in my experience they do not make the game pay 2 win. These hero mechs usually just come with a wacky paint job and a boost to in game currency and experience while piloting them, in addition to a different weapon loadout for customization purposes. There are plenty of non premium mechs that are as good as or better than all of the "hero" mechs available. So fret not.

This game obviously isn't for everybody, but if you like mechs, and don't mind the effort it takes to learn how to play the game, OR if you're a Battletech or Mechwarrior fan, give it a try.
