This game is a good game. Has a lot of game like elements. Great game when you're in the mood to game. Resource intensive but well worth it. Incredibly difficult but rewarding solo. I imagine it is astounding to play as a group.

Vampyr is just shy of being a masterpiece. The difficulty mechanic is genius.You get XP from traditional RPG foreplay. Slaying foes, doing quests, etc. Although, you also get XP from dialogue (the game is roughly 60% dialogue) and from *sucking the blood of innocents*. I am doing a playthrough as a kindhearted vampire that doesn't feed on humans. Thus, I have less XP and the game is much much more difficult. There are times when I have to decide if I want to try that difficult boss fight again or should quench my thirst for blood and level up before attempting it.

Brilliant mechanic.

The storytelling is top notch. The environment is sensual.

Although, there are bugs that ruin the immersion and some of the story dialogue choices that are *significant* do not make the consequences clear. There was a time when a character I had grown fond of had a dialogue option that appeared to do exactly what I wanted but the consequences were the opposite. It hurts.

Love the game though.
