Great game.

Not as good as the first one, but still great. A few things:
1) Story is confusing and too much.
2) Traversal can be a pain at times.
3) Graphics are incredible and very well done.
4) New machines are awesome.
5) Flying mount rules

I like that they've made the achievements easier to get, don't like you have to do NG+ to complete it however.

I had a blast and highly recommend this one. Just watch a story overview on YouTube at some point because it's a bit of a mess to follow.

$70?!

Feels rushed, very low design depth almost like they just released this to release it because the project was a mess and they couldn't find a way to bring all the pieces together.

IMHO not worth the asking price.

Great game, imho not worth $50 but I got it for $20 so for that value, well worth it. But wasn't as good as the Remaster imho.

Boss fights felt flat to me - story was iffy.

It's still fun spider-man combat and tech. Looks great on PC and runs fantastic.

I know this had a host of initial quality issues, but I played in March and it's flawless for me on a 4090, etc. It sucks the initial release was garbage and I hope they learned their lesson for when TLOU 2 comes out on PC.

All I can say is one of the best story driven games ever. This and Red Dead Redemption 2 stand ahead of anyone and everyone else by miles.

10/10 for when it came out. If you haven't played, you need to. It's like Half-Life and Half-Life 2, you can't be a gamer w/o playing through these. I recommend you 100% all achievements/trophies. You can play on PC or PlayStation. I did on PS long ago and I'm doing it again here on Steam.

Great remake - pretty remarkable what they've done here tech wise to modernize an old game into something with outstanding graphics capabilities and the latest technology. On the Alienware 4K/240Hz OLED monitor (AW3225QF) the HDR is outstanding.

You can feel that the game is old, but it's FF and this remake is very well done. I highly recommend esp. at 50% off.

Overall 6/10.

The game itself, from the studio Respawn, is actually fine. It's not as good as the first but still a solid 7 or 8 out of 10. I found the story lacking, the combat basic, and just way too much talking vs. playing and discovering. But the visuals are fantastic, it's true to Star Wars, and continues the story of this Jedi (which I will admit I'm tired of).

The reason this game is bad and I don't recommend it is EA. You buy it on Steam, but you have to not only have an EA account (which is fine) but you have to use the EA app to launch the game. It's basically a pointer in Steam to the EA app and this game. So you are wasting resources and the game gets very confused. Example: Screenshots in Steam do not work. Controller only works with an Xbox controller, not Steam Input or a PS controller. The list goes on and on. I actually commend EA, I didn't think they could make a worse app vs. Origin but they did - the new EA app is absolute junk proving again EA has learned nothing about PC. The EA app also, by default without asking, sends data to them on you, your PC, etc. They don't ever ask you - it's just on by default. Luckily I proactively went to check this in Settings
to turn it off. On top of all of that, the port is done by Iron Galaxy and no one should ever use them for a port given how this performs and the issues on overall experience.

Play it on a console - you'll like it much more and hopefully avoid all of this. As Eurogamer said: "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PC is still the worst triple-A PC port of 2023." IMHO, it's still the worst in 2024.

Valve shouldn't let this type of implementation on Steam. It actually hurts the Steam brand as well.

Overall: 5/10.

DISCLAIMER: I played this basically right after 100% Resident Evil 4 Remake (which is fantastic).

I found the game play really lacking here. The UI feels heavy, is clunky to adjust to keyboard/mouse - overall even on a 4090 GPU the game just felt slow and big. Customizing keyboard mappings had a delay which contributed to the feeling of an unoptimized port to PC.

Graphic wise, the HDR implementation is lacking. Colors do not pop at all like in RE4: Remake. So much grey and bland graphics/approach.

The story is 5/10 overall.

I'm forcing myself to finish the game but won't bother to 100% complete all achievements.

I will say most of this feedback is due to me just having played a fantastic RE:4 Remake, so others may find more value than I am with Village.

I'm late to playing this, but now fully understand why it was 2023's best selling game - beating Zelda, Call of Duty, Diablo, and more.

My review: 10/10 for a single player only experience.

The story is so incredibly well written and acted in the game by great voice actors - I have no doubt this could be a multi-billion dollar movie. I often found myself sitting back in awe of how rare it is to find a game that stays true to the IP yet is a great game. This is it.

Graphics are great - with lots of PC specific options. That said, I did have shader recompiling every single time I would launch the game. Very annoying. The HDR implementation felt average - and required Windows HDR to be enabled for the option to exist in the game.

Sound is great - situational and well done with music, voice, effects.

The game is long - offering 100+ hours if that is your thing. The main campaign plus some of the side quests is likely a 30-40 hour adventure depending on what you do. If you are someone who completes games (complete = get all achievements), it's 50+ hours easily. I will be honest in that some of the achievements are collection based - and there's just way, way too much collection in this game. finding everything, doing every little item - takes ages and can get repetitive. Completionists won't enjoy that too much.

Overall, whether you like Harry Potter or not - this is a fantastic game and I hope we see DLC and more games. An outstanding job by the developer in almost every way possible.

Highly recommended if you enjoy single player, strong story, adventures.

Overall: 7/10.

"Brotato" presents itself as a compact and accessible game, perfectly tailored for those moments when you're seeking a quick, entertaining diversion without the commitment required by more extensive titles. Its minimal hard drive footprint is a commendable feature, making it an easy addition to any gaming library, particularly for players with limited storage space or those who prefer a lightweight gaming experience.

At its core, "Brotato" is imbued with a fun, engaging gameplay loop that offers immediate gratification and an easy-to-pick-up structure. This aspect makes it an excellent choice for casual gaming sessions, where the aim is to unwind and enjoy without getting bogged down by complex mechanics or storylines. The game shines in its ability to deliver short bursts of enjoyment, making it a go-to for filling brief periods of free time.

However, it's worth noting that "Brotato" may not hold the attention of players looking for depth and variety in the long run. The gameplay, while initially captivating, can evolve into a repetitive cycle, potentially diminishing its appeal over extended play sessions. This repetition is a double-edged sword; on one hand, it allows for a straightforward and accessible experience, but on the other, it may lead to a sense of monotony for those seeking a more dynamic and evolving challenge.

"Brotato" stands out as a fun and enjoyable game with a specific appeal to those in search of light, engaging entertainment that doesn't demand much in terms of time or system resources. Its simplicity and ease of access are its greatest strengths, though its repetitive nature might limit its long-term appeal to some players. It's very low cost which drives the overall value up for most. Overall, it's a good choice for gamers looking for a fun, rogue like, simple game.

Spider-Man Remastered for PC on Steam is a breathtaking adventure. This remastered edition not only brings the beloved superhero to life with stunningly detailed graphics and fluid animations but also elevates the entire experience to new heights with PC-optimized performance.

From the moment you launch the game, you're greeted with vibrant visuals that perfectly capture the bustling energy of New York City. The attention to detail in the game's environment is nothing short of spectacular, making each swing through the city's skyscrapers feel exhilarating. The game's lighting effects, especially during different times of the day, beautifully highlight the dynamic world Insomniac Games has created.

The gameplay in Spider-Man Remastered is a masterclass in design. Swinging through the city feels intuitive and satisfying, thanks to the refined mechanics and responsive controls optimized for PC. Combat is equally impressive, offering a fluid mix of acrobatics, web-slinging, and gadgetry that allows for a variety of playstyles. The remastered edition further enhances this experience with improved frame rates and resolutions, ensuring that every punch, swing, and leap looks and feels better than ever.

Narratively, Spider-Man Remastered tells a compelling story that captures the essence of Peter Parker's dual life. The voice acting and motion capture work are top-notch, bringing depth and emotion to each character. The story missions and side quests are well-crafted, balancing superhero antics with the personal struggles of Peter Parker, making for a deeply engaging storyline.

The PC version of Spider-Man Remastered also benefits from additional features such as customizable graphics settings, ultrawide monitor support, and ray tracing, which elevate the visual fidelity to a whole new level. The game runs smoothly on a wide range of hardware, thanks to well-optimized software that caters to different gaming rigs.

In conclusion, Spider-Man Remastered for PC on Steam is an absolute must-play. It successfully captures the thrill of being everyone's favorite web-slinger while delivering a polished and immersive gaming experience. On the negative side, it does have a lot of 'filler' quests and missions to do that can be a bit too much (chasing birds, unlocking satellites, finding backpacks, etc).

It's not just a game; it's a loving tribute to one of the most iconic superheroes of all time.
