A very quiet launch of a game that has been in the making for many, many years, almost thought it will never come at all.
It is very obvious, that the developers wanted to do much more, but lacked the necessary funding. This seems to be a passion project to create a sequel to a very underrated but in my opinion one of the best UFO inspired games out there.

The game is about it's mechanics. You research stuff but are somewhat in the dark, there are no voice lines, no story explaning things or giving you a sense of directions. Just the mechanics that construct a very fun base that continues to evolve. It is better optimized and has better graphics than UFO: Extraterrestrials Gold.
The lack of certain features may be attributed to the fact that you need to research literally everything.
Leveling up units helps, but leveling up research is even more fun.

I still have to clock in more hours, but it is an impressive project completed by a small team of people with passion, game devs and modders (Bman!).

The price is half of an AAA game. Is this worth it? I think so. Certainly more so than some AAA titles. True - it lacks the polish and has rough edges, but the core game mechanics will keep you glued to the screen, untill you forget such silliness as "story" or "voiceovers". You make the story. You control the struggle. Don't need the speaches that would only get boring with time, especially on repeated playthroughs. No BS kind of approach. Just jump in and have fun. Didn't even need a tutorial, the UI is intuitive and simple.

I obviously can't give a score till I finish the game, but I can really recommend this one without any doubts about it. So far no bugs, fingers crossed it stays that way :)

This is a very simple, yet entertaining - if not addictive - game.
You basicly clear a level/planet with your drill by drilling the core at the bottom and collect goodies and blocks along the way, unlocking HQ rooms, characters and upgrading your gear.
While very repetetive AND without a clear end game at all, it is worth getting, especially if it ever goes on sale.

It's a fun simplistic game that you can spend half an hour on or several hours if you don't feel like playing something "heavy", just chill with a beer (or 12).

Cool and fun, initially.
As it is basically a port of a mobile game (in fact you can link it with an app), it brings all the evil microtransactions that the F2P games are plagued with.
It goes easy on you at first, but in order to unlock everything the game has to offer, you need to spend about 49$ (the extra workers and blueprint lines, that doesn't even include the last one linked to fusions, which is somewhat skippable).
On top of that of course you have subscription option that doubles on many rewards and countless other options to speed up the game and make it much more enjoyable than the free version.
I bought some of the packs and I must say it's a bit unfair how much it pushes you forward, basically beyond normal gameplay. That is mainly why I don't recommend this game to anyone. While fun, it certainly is not worth how much it wants from you (in cash) to be enjoyable.

Early Access Review
A nice game, makes you remember the old flash games where you buy units to fight for you, focusing on economy more than combat.
So far the game had 5 hours of content (3 islands) in EA.
It's simple and a bit repetetive, with rewards somewhat limiting your play (you only can use troops that you won in previous maps which are finite or buy them from the shop).
There is persistant upgrade mechanic too, so there is something to work towards for, but once you unlock it all that's it.
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 as it is. Fun, but repetetive, so I played it over a few days. Not a binge material.

7/10 in current state, 7+ if bugs are fixed.
The game has somewhat average graphics, but somewhat stable FPS.
The story is somewhat interesting, most of it presented in cutscenes, with logs available if some needs to learn more.
Overal it is an action game that bases everything on instances and moving from one arena to the next, wasting different mobs over and over again, with few enemy actions available.
You play campaign from cutscene to cutscene, doing generic side quests.

The game is coop, but forget that part if you don't have friends that bought the game with you - no one ever joined my game besides the demo and at the "End Game".

What is End Game? You play few instances in time attack fashion with others that do the same, like rifts in Diablo, to unlock harder and harder ones, which unlocks higher tiers of weapons.

So it is a grind. And you unlock nothing that will make your hearth skip a beat. In fact, you unlock same ♥♥♥♥. Over and over again, but with numbers a bit higher. There are quite a few mods that you can use to change one of 2 that the item can have and it is necessary to do so, in order to clear up waves of mobs (area damage, so your build gets limited from 3 pages of mods, to like 3).

And you get to use only 3 skills at the same time, which is very dissapointing. You unlock more that could make fights more interesting and engaging, but right now you just headshot and throw a thing once 30 seconds.

Overall I like it better than destiny 1 or 2. But the feelings are lukewarm. I actually felt happy when I completed the game finally.
And based on the achievements - not many people even did that. (like 20%? With some quest chains at 5%)

Saying to get it at a discount would be the normal thing to say, but at that time there will be no one to play the game with so... Hard choice. Mixed feeling at this price point. For solo play - def wait for a sale.

So. It took me 37 hours to complete the game. For such a price and the enjoyment I had, I think I have to greatly recommend this product. It was just a fun blast, a bit gridndy at times, but fun nontheles. I still could upgrade more of the city and continue to build more things but overall I think I am done with the game. I would be glad to play for 10 hours, almost 40 is just way beyond my expectations.

A cool logic game for 2 or 3 hours.
Narrative is nice, sadly some missing voiceovers, but overall nicely done.
The difficulty isn't too strict and 2 or 3 more cases would certainly be welcome.
For the length of the game, I would recommend waiting for a sale, but the quality is there.

For a tower defense that seems would fit mostly on mobile, it's actually not predatory at all with the premium currencies and a lot of fun to play - both single player or co-op up to 4 players.
There are some nice mechanics of global progression, where you level up your monkeys and another knowledge system that gives you points to improve them further.
There are quite many stages and many ways to play as you switch both heroes and "turrets".

At the sale it costs almost nothing and I can't find any faults in this game. Highly recommended.

The game is really awesome and I might try to play it more, but most likely I will just wait for the card I ordered 3 months ago - the RTX 3080. IT IS REALLY DEMANDING. And I play in 1440p, with a 1080 that doesn't do the job and on settings that hurt my eyes and soul. I want to really play it as intended. If waiting will fix up the bugs I had mercy to not see yet - even better.

But honestly? You plan to upgrade? Wait. You think the game will magically be better optimized? Don't even kid yourself, it won't be.

A joke of my own situation I guess.

While I did not finish the game in it's entirety yet, I am confident I can shed some light about the gameplay and the finish of the game.

First of all, from technical aspects, the game seems to be defaulted to 1080p resolution and offers no options for change to 1440p which I use.
While the visuals loose sharpness because of it, the art style is near perfect and 2D animations quite proper, with a neat trick that kinda makes them look 3-dimensional in certain parts.
It's by far the only technical drawback I found, that I did not like.

The story is focused on chasing after your kidnapped doughter and - as it is a hidden objects game - you have to collect items and solve riddles to progress.
The riddles more likely make sense than don't (bigger ratio than half at the very least) and the hint system prevents you from getting stuck. There are achievements for not using it, but most likely you will be stumped several times.

Many riddles can be replaced with a "match-3" game, but while this sounds nice, it's really quite boring and requires to match items not for points, but for places on the game area, which always takes longer than the riddle and is more tedious - since the riddles do actually quite a good job to be entertaining enough and not repetetive.
If you played old-school adventure games, than be glad there is no pixel-hunting in here or very far-out crazy mind-bending connections between ridiculous pair of items (so no "use everything on everything" either).
One bad thing I thought I should mention is that some items are places on the very edge of the "exit" area, meaning you might not consider clicking there or actually exit the area/riddile instead of picking up said item.

That beeing said, I still find the game best for quick 30 minutes bursts of gameplays, to complete a chapter consisting of several (3-4) areas and give it a rest till next time.

There is nothing significant I can say about music, but for an HO game, dubbing is quite acceptable, though on the dry side - don't expect standing on your toes at any point of time.

It is highly casual game that could help you relax in a day. No pesky QTE or time constraints (so far?).

While I did receive the product for free, I would not hesitate to give it a bad review If I thought it deserves one.

In the end, it's just a small, yet pleasent both to the eye and to the mind, relaxing game to waste a few hours.
While the indian background is nice, it's nothing you will remember for years though. I will most likely finish the game, but as I said - in short, 30 minute bursts, to avoid burning out.

I wish I could compare this to other HO games, as it is a defined genre at this point, but I never tackled those before. I can only compare it to adventure games that are kind of similiar. The very pinnacle of that would probably be "The Council", but for a small indie game, this is quite acceptable.
