Diablo II has been one of my childhood favorites. Path of Exile is the only contender. PoE offers great variety and long lasting fun that doesn't feel like an endless grind with number-crunching results. And the in-game purchases are extraordinarily fair like increasing inventory space. You can really do without, but it is nice to have as well. Path of Exile is probably the best dungeon crawler / action RPG made.
